Friend having cosmetic surgery - why oh why ?

My friend was so naturally pretty - I’d say actually stunning. I hadn’t seen her for a few months. We met up this weekend. I was shocked - she’s had cosmetic surgery and it frankly looks awful . She tells me she’s having more . She said her sister is dead against it but she thinks her sister is jealous as she can’t afford it herself. I’m with her sister It’s quite upset me - she just no way needed it. I hope her self esteem wasn’t so low that she felt this would help. I think she was upset because I didn’t comment on it - but I just couldn’t think of anything positive to say. It’s none of my business - I’m just concerned that’s all .

Looks like I really interrupted the bitch fest, going by these responses 😆 🤣 😂

I once had a little bit of botox and filler and loved the result, but it was a very modest amount and only once (I couldn’t afford any more).

I’ve never actually seen anyone in real life who has had the sort of Love Island type work done but there does seem to be a tendency to look too similar to each other, which would put me off (I’m too long in the tooth now to bother with it anyway). If a friend had it done I’m not sure how I would react but I’d probably try and be complimentary even if I was 😱 in my head.

A former colleague of mine is an attractive woman. For some reason she decided to get lip fillers and they look absolutely atrocious.

I had hoped she would stop but that's been several years now.

Of all the procedures that can be done, I honestly think that lip fillers are the worst. It is so easy to overdo it and look clownish.

genuinely, if you don’t have anything positive to say, just change the subject.

personally I feel negatively about false lashes, range rovers, eating meat, tvs in kitchens and bedrooms, men with no tops on and people who go to the gym everyday.

but it’s nothing to do with me at all.

It’s lip fillers , and an extreme face lift . Yep it is her face but she was so so much prettier before

Ugh, I bet she looked much better before. Badly done fillers are horrible. There's nothing that you can say, but I agree with you that it's a great shame.

I have a friend who from time to time she has Botox. When she has it done, her face looks amazing. When she doesn’t, she looks like her usual self, with wrinkles and whatever. Why would you have it done? As it is only once in a while, the difference is even more noticeable. The funny thing is that when she has it done, she tells us she just used a good scrub and a good facial mask. I feel like laughing every single time. I can afford Botox but just don’t see the point.
