Shamelessly posting for traffic. I am desperate. Went on holiday at Easter, lost my tooth retainer (200 quid down the drain). I thought I put it in a box with another medical type thing but when I opened it in the caravan the retainer wasnt there. Maybe I put it somewhere else. Searched the caravan from top to bottom before we left. Searched the car, roof box, luggage. I didn't see it all holiday, halfway through I remembered to wear it then couldn't find it. I have an appointment to replace (starting from scratch unfortuntely) next week, but my teeth have already moved out of place so I really want to find the original besides the cost. Please help!

Seconding the dressing gown pocket. It's where I found my Fitbit yesterday after checking the entire house and the pockets of everything else, apart from my dressing gown.

No bathroom block. Fully ready before leaving the caravan!

Where did you use to keep it and where were you when you put it in the box with the other medical item? Try these places and look around and under things

Isn't there a particular Saint that one can appeal to? Can't recall the name......

Where do you keep it at home usually, did you definitely take it with you? Could you have been collecting things to pack and taken the retainer with you to e.g. get a suitcase out of a wardrobe, or a specific item you were going to take on holiday, and you've put it down on a shelf somewhere as you picked that other item up?

Get a new one asap before your teeth move out of shape. I left my retainers in my hotel in Cancun, realised when I got to the airport to fly home but it was too late. Cost me £350 for another upper and lower one. I have fixed retainers on the back of my top front teeth but could still feel the difference by the time i got new night time retainers made.

I normally keep it in the toothbrush mug in the downstairs bathroom. The box broke so it was just loose.
I was in the kitchen when I thought I put it in the box. Cleaned all the kitchen sides. Other thing in the box (lovely nasal steamer) kept in medicine cupboard, Need to empty it out again. Think I packed the box in just a tesco bag with some random things. Searched through all the tesco bags and the car

Had everything in packing cubes. need to go through them again

You maybe didn't take it with you at all. You've probably dropped it somewhere while you were packing it. Try looking under things like bed , storage boxes etc.

But if your teeth have already moved out of shape, what's the point of finding the old one?
