If anyone can manage to sit through this podcast between Meghan and Jamie Kern Lima, what are your thoughts about Meghan saying this?
And what are your thoughts on Meghan in general after watching her talking with Jamie here?
I don't know if I'm BU but I pick up on narcissist vibes.

Harry looks like his dad - James Hewitt.

How nasty to tarnish a dead woman who can’t defend herself. Go you.

CatHairEveryWhereNow · 27/05/2025 09:45

What she is saying is
"If you haven't noticed, my husband's very, very handsome".
It's that that I take issue with.
She's telling us that if we haven't noticed, Harry is very, very handsome.

I wonder if that's a cultural difference with LA versus UK.

Well, NO, Clive,’ said the captain, looking embarrassed. 'I’d be very worried if I saw a man singing the national anthem and waving the flag, sir. It’s really a thing foreigners do.’
'Really? Why?’
'WE don’t need to show WE’RE patriotic, sir. I mean, this is Ankh-Morpork. We don’t have to make a big fuss about being the best, sir. We just KNOW.’
(On patriotism, from: Night Watch by Terry Pratchett)

It's sort of the above on a personal level - I don't need to shout about how great my DH is I picked him it's a given - so to my eye it screams it says I care massively about looks - which TBH given her work background isn't a surprise - and I'm massively insecure - need you to notice what I have.

KimberleyClark · 27/05/2025 09:47

She said “in case you haven’t noticed,my husband is extremely handsome” which means she thinks he’s objectively handsome and everyone else ought to think so to. She didn’t say “I think my husband is extremely handsome” which any normal person

But she's not saying
"I find H (as she has re-named him) really attractive; to me, he's gorgeous".
OK fine, nobody could argue with that, because that would be her telling us what her view of him is.
What she is saying is
"If you haven't noticed, my husband's very, very handsome".
It's that that I take issue with.

Why on earth have you “taken issue with” someone saying that about their DH?! Would you be kicking off with your bestie if she said that about her DH?!

MereNoelle · 27/05/2025 08:10

He’s not my type, but I’m glad she finds him handsome as she’s married to him! My DH wouldn’t be some other people’s cup of tea I’m sure, but I think he’s gorgeous.

This.

Woman thinks the man she loves is handsome, shocker 🤣

Harry looks like his dad - James Hewitt.

Hard to tell with these whether it's trolling or just ignorance where someone doesn't know that Diana didn't meet James Hewitt till after Harry was born, or who has never seen any photos of Harry, Charles or the late Prince Philip to notice the very obvious resemblance. Oh well.

Edited

Exactly. Why would you take issue with it, OP, it’s nothing to do with you!

TheAutumnCrow · 27/05/2025 09:50

She also said of Harry, ‘he’s a fox’.

Canopies · 27/05/2025 09:51

Harry is becoming more and more like his father, King Charles, that is undeniable.

ButteredRadish · 27/05/2025 09:51

I honestly don’t get why so many people hate Meghan 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t particularly like her but I don’t hate or resent her! It’s as if these people think Harry has zero autonomy or free will!?!
‘That bitch has dragged him kicking and screaming away from his family and the UK, how dare she?!” Yeah, no. That’s not what happened.
I only got less than half way through Harry’s book but even from that, I’m pretty confident that both leaving the RF and the UK was HIS idea and HIS choice.
Leave the woman alone, for the love of all that’s good in the world!

Ducksinthegardens · 27/05/2025 09:51

The amount she manages to use of the word “I” in the first minute is incredible.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !

He doesn't do anything for me .

Sometimes beauty is in the eye of the Beerholder 🍺

Wednesdayisme · 27/05/2025 09:52

I can't watch her in interviews. I was on side when I heard about the racism and I'll ever condone that but the way she speaks about herself I just find cringy I just can't sit through it.

KimberleyClark · 27/05/2025 09:52

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 27/05/2025 09:37

Harry looks like his dad - James Hewitt.

He is the spit of Prince Philip at a similar age. I’m no royalist but even I can see that.

Dangermoo · 27/05/2025 09:53

Jujujudo · 27/05/2025 08:08

I don’t have much of an opinion on Meghan, but I wonder if she has any idea of how she’s perceived in the media. I would be utterly devastated if I read even one comment like the ones written about her.

I'd say she's got a very thick skin. Good for her, in that case.

ForZanyAquaViewer · 27/05/2025 08:48

Thats your opinion. It’s not objective fact, it’s very much subjective. Lots of people disagree: www.newsweek.com/prince-harry-above-ryan-gosling-david-beckham-hottest-list-1973508

That's a Jack Royston article so therefore not worth the paper its written on. he is Known to be a died in the Wool sussex supporter and yes i am very invested in M&H a s I find their behaviour wildly entertaining as its so bad. Harry is about as handsome as a ham sandwich

As i think the same about my dh but the difference is we don't walk around saying to people, "In case you hadn't noticed my husband is very handsome".
I think we know what what attracted her to Harry and it wasn't his looks. She famously said that she wanted to marry a prince or a major celebrity. Golddigger.

Canopies · 27/05/2025 09:51

Yes, very similar, around the eyes and nose, definitely. He's like a less handsome version of Prince Philip.

ChandrilanDiscoDroid · 27/05/2025 09:56

Oh lord. Well, it's a bit cringe and not going to endear her to people who don't like her, but she could discover an instant cure for cancer and those people still wouldn't like her. Generally, woman fancies her husband shocker.

Yes he’s her trophy husband.

@peeweemermaid 😂😂

The article regurgitates a Harpers Bazaar survey done almost 10 previously when he was still single.

ButteredRadish · 27/05/2025 09:57

@eqpi4t2hbsnktdHarry looks nothing like James Hewitt! 😆 He’s the spit of a young Prince Phillip. Harry has eyes very close together like Charles and the ginger comes from the Spencer side where there is much of it.

TheignT · 27/05/2025 10:00

Generally people seem to have a type, my husband is black and I'm not into red heads (I am one or I was before I got old) I also don't like beards and was forever grateful when my husband got over his and shaved it off.

He's her type I suppose and she's his. Actually a bit like me and DH but in reverse.

I don't gush so I'm very unlikely to go on about how handsome DH is, more likely to say he's OK if it isn't a bright light as that's how we banter. It's just what works for people, we aren't all the same.

I haven't watched the interview so no feelings about that.

I hope they are happy, she seems to be (but she is an actress) he seems a sad soul but I hope behind closed doors he's OK.

MyKingdomForACat · 27/05/2025 10:00

The more the gushing and confirmation of how great it all is the less I believe people. If you’re happy you don’t keep seeking validation or mentioning the marriage. That’s what I think in this case. It’s almost like a reverse

Screamingabdabz · 27/05/2025 10:01

It’s certainly a bold and self-confident way of phrasing something “in case YOU hadn’t noticed…” (you must be stupid or something to not regard us or have an opinion on us) “…MY husband..” (I’m so fantastic and important and I married a royal prince) “…is extremely handsome.” (Not just a ginger balding man-child but extremely, superlatively, outstandingly handsome. If I convince myself by saying it out loud I might just be able to sleep with him).

Yep. South Park nailed it.
