If anyone can manage to sit through this podcast between Meghan and Jamie Kern Lima, what are your thoughts about Meghan saying this?
And what are your thoughts on Meghan in general after watching her talking with Jamie here?
I don't know if I'm BU but I pick up on narcissist vibes.

She thinks her DH is handsome. Truly shocking news. How dare she?! He left the monarchy and deserves to wear sackcloth and ashes and be called ugly by his own wife forever!

I'm not sure what response you want here...

Probably something a little more reasonable than this.

JHound · 28/05/2025 18:06

A wife thinks her husband is handsome.

And?

JungAtHeart · 28/05/2025 18:11

Please! His eyes are so close together they’re almost touching. He’s balding and blatantly having plugs or using Regain … he is not handsome. This 💯 smacks of Victoria Beckham telling us for decades how handsome David Beckham is. He’s average …with hair plugs.

I know, right? Like saying “my child is beautiful” is a sign of narcissism. Some people are determined to find the most incriminating meaning of an obviously light-hearted phrase.

I don't generally comment on Meghan threads but I think there's probably a culture difference. Things that we find cringe or whatever in the UK might work better for an American audience.

American who married a Brit here, and moved to the UK. After one of our first evenings hosting some fellow parents from DSS's school, DH said - as part of my cultural education - that they'd probably left thinking I'd gone off him, as I'd repeatedly praised him and said how amazing the food he'd cooked was. The culturally appropriate way to demonstrate my affection for him, he said, would have been to mock-denigrate the food or to gently mock him... which, at the time, seemed bizarre to me. So, I said, just say the opposite of whatever you really mean to say? Something like that, he said :)

Does anyone know how her father is doing, she's a nasty piece of work. And that other woman's voice 🙄 I watched about two minutes.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 29/05/2025 20:06

I'm sure he is mostly likely sunbathing while living cheaply in the Philippines, he likes to live in places with cheap labour. He's a nasty piece of work.

Lampzade · 30/05/2025 17:08

Her ‘ father’ is most definitely a very nasty piece of work

Americano75 · 30/05/2025 17:29

Oh, I'm sure he'll pop up soon enough when he needs cash. Rancid POS.

EvieBB · 09/06/2025 04:42

Toootss · 27/05/2025 08:07

Gosh she looks nice with no make up.
The tinkly music in the background we could do without.

edit - only listened to a couple of minutes

You think? I don't (re the no make up look).

The only rancid POS is MM
How you can cut off your father is beyond me.
He raised her and spoiled her and paid for everything and is now living in poverty while she's a multi millionaire and spends money like it's water. The least she can do is help him out a little financially. I don't get her she can be such a cold hearted bit**

Meanwhile MM is sweetness and light lol

@EvieBB Do you have a crush on the MM Dad? Take off the rose tinted glasses.
He is a creep.

Urgh, no I don't have a crush. Why would you say that? What has he done exactly that's so bad? I'm confused by your post....

CreationNat1on · 09/06/2025 10:19

I think Haz looks a bit like Tom M, I think she genuinely thinks haz is handsome.

Better go to specsavers Meggy.

I’ve always thought of him as cutting a rather sad figure. Perhaps like many older men with a career behind him, he has felt ‘lesser’ and has had to face a lot of issues and become less independent and resolute.

That may be true, but I still think that his daughter could throw him a little cash his way (having brought her up and spent to much on her) having made so many millions. It wouldn't make a dent in her pocket
It appears so cold hearted. That's her dad whatever his faults. She had plenty of her own after all

Why should she support the two faced money hungry man.
I see him as cutting, arrogant and selfish.
Our children don't owe us for childhood experiences.
I won't be invoicing mine when they are adults.

She doesn't have to of course, but I see her as cutting, supremely arrogant and selfish herself so who knows -perhaps she inherited that from her dad??. I don't him enough to make a comment either way but all I know is that my dad sexually abused me when I was very little (before I could properly talk) so we had a difficult relationship but even then I could see he was damaged and I still loved him because he was my dad and not all bad. I would still have given him money if he was struggling and if I was uber rich like Meghan. I can't understand her lack of compassion towards her own father considering my experience with my own dad. There are countless pictures of them hugging and looking happy and she has praised him on many occasions - I didn't have that level of warmth with my dad and yet I wouldn't want to see him financially struggle if I was awash with millions. Doesn't make sense to me.
