Well, more the discussions on his YouTube channel, I watch them most nights. I seem to pretty much agree with most things he says and don’t think he’s that bad. I realise most people (I think) don’t feel like this, is there something wrong with me? When I told my mum, she said ‘Eww, he’s awful, I hate his voice’ 😬

He’s a bully. Adults who bully people are so embarrassing to watch in action, especially when enabled by sycophants. That’s what happened in this case, in multiple settings. I really think anyone who likes him from TV who saw people like him operate in private would feel the same as those of us who dislike him for that reason alone.

His brother is an officer in the British Army, too, yet he still thought it was ok to blatantly lie and put the troops on the ground in more danger than they already were. Then, there’s the phone hacking, he should have gone to prison for that.

It's because he's a bit right of centre. That's the only reason 'some' people loathe him. He's not left wing, he's not PC, he hates 'wokery,' he doesn't play by the rules, he doesn't give a shit about saying the 'right thing,' and some people can't handle that. See also: Jeremy Clarkson. I have come across him in a professional capacity and he's a vain, thin-skinned, arrogant bully who talks to people who work for him like shit. He threatened me personally once. He cheated on his first wife in a very public way which was massively humiliating to her and went on for several years. He's built a career on sucking up to people in power to get access to them (see Trump).

The comparison with Jeremy Clarkson is misleading. Clarkson is also Marmite and I don't agree with most of his politics but he's capable of treating people like human beings and has a bit of intellectual rigour to him.

People who are right of centre often struggle to understand that people who are left of centre are capable of appreciating different views from their own if they are argued sensibly and in non-inflammatory language.

Clarkson can do this. Morgan is just a cunt.

I used to like him, he seemed to be the only person around who did "old style" journalism - ie, question both sides of a discussion.
Now he just seems to have sold himself into "click bait hate rage" and comes across deranged.
Will never forget the time he stormed off set because he couldn't take the weatherman (Alex) disagreeing with him.

He is an experienced journalist and can be a good interviewer. But he has no discernible morals, has too much of a tendency to say things that are outrageous to get reactions and seems to be incredibly egotistical and thin skinned. I know many people do not like Meghan Markle, and she does not seem to be a perfect person, but he was unhinged when discussing her.

All that ‘tells it like it is ‘ nonsense that some attribute to Piers Morgan …. The truth is that Piers is not very bright hence his annoying habit of verbally browbeating people into submission instead of using intellect to challenge them.

Yep. It's a fairly safe assumption whenever someone is celebrated for "telling it like it is" its by the sorts of people who enjoy watching bullying on TV.

I don't actually think Piers Morgan is thick, I think he's very cunning and cynical and knows exactly how to speak to the sorts of people who think he's "telling it like it is" (of whom there are a few on here". He's seen you lot coming a mile off.

I think he and his wife are well suited judging by some of the things she's said. He's a vicious bully, with zero morals or ethics. I was glad when he flounced from GMB, he spent the entire time shouting over people including the far more accomplished Susanna. I agree with a couple of his opinions but then even a broken clock gets the time right twice a day.
