Mines matcha - looks nasty

Previously sweet potato fries but they've kinda died out now

Aperol spritz

Couldn’t agree more

Aperol Spritz is really old news, it has been around for at least 15 years and is vile.
Was never keen on sweet potatoes, which don't fry well as they do not contain enough starch (yes, people, that is why they are praised as low carb).
Matcha tea bis also as old as the hills.
Worryingly, Bubble Tea and Dubai chocolate are available in Germany, which is usually 10 to 15 years behind the rest of the world. Wouldn't touch either with a bargepole.
I do like truffles (the natural fungus sort).

Could have written this myself.

Sourdough toast. It tastes ok but every time I've had it, I've been worried about breaking my teeth. It's hard!!!

Sourdough isn’t hard! It’s divine 😇

Hwi · 24/05/2025 00:23

Filthy as fuck as well, with the possibility of catching parasites, sushi are.

I'm dubious about the love of cottage cheese on social media.

I love this mixed with salad cream

justasking111 · 24/05/2025 00:26

Pootle40 · 23/05/2025 21:34

Actually do love kombucha, kefir and sourdough bread!

The first two I think of them as medicine

MyDeftDuck · 24/05/2025 00:26

Olives……….green or black…….YUK! What is so appealing about them?

justasking111 · 24/05/2025 00:28

PlutoCat · 23/05/2025 21:46

Burgers in brioche buns. Just no.

I loathe this and refuse it

JemimaPiddlepot · 24/05/2025 00:31

What’s that weird drink with little frogspawn type balls in it? That.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 24/05/2025 00:33

LondonFox · 24/05/2025 00:04

Yeah...
But you cannot roast 10kg of meat in air fryer can you?
It is great of you live with small portion eating partner or a toddler.
In amy other case it canmot replace the real thing.

On another note why would you pay someone 300 to put in a new oven.
Don't be silly

If I were in the position of being able to afford to feed 40 people a giant lump of cow each or a paxo stuffed velociraptor, I wouldn't be balking at the standard electric oven installation fee as charged by AO - or the cost of remodelling an entire kitchen to meet current electrical and gas safety standards just to replace it - would I? I'd have a huge kitchen and a fuck off massive Aga next to solid oak cabinetry, oak, marble countertops, at least one big butler sink and about twenty chickens pootling around near the door that leads to the mud room.

And then I'd still have space on the side for a Ninja to make some cheese on toast, jacket potatoes, DP making a sausage sandwich without carbonising the sausages or to stick a load of dried chickpeas on high pressure to batch cook curries and make buckets of yoghurt (if you get the round one instead) 😁

The Ninja does a whole chicken per drawer without issue, in any case. You don't have to have a sparrow like appetite or be under 3 foot tall to find a whole chicken enough to eat.

So true!!!

Do you just mean the yolk is runny, because it’s supposed to be? Or that the white isn’t fully cooked, which is rank? The latter has, thankfully, never been served to me.

Oh no I do like a runny yolk. It's when the white is still liquid as soon as you pop it, it just runs everywhere😭 Completely turns my stomach. Has happened honestly 90% of the time I have ordered them, so now just don't eat them anymore.

justasking111 · 24/05/2025 00:41

Cauliflower rice god the stink

Courgette spaghetti, never again.

My dad always asks for 'normal bread' when we go out and I completely understand

I, however, do persist because I like it better, and I know it is better for me, so I struggle with those crusts wondering every time "WHY" 😆

HelenaWaiting · 24/05/2025 00:47

Kimchi, kefir, kombucha. Other things beginning with k. Anything named "dirty". Truffles. Salmon in restaurants served "pink". Cook it, you pretentious bastards.

whitewineandsun · 23/05/2025 21:28

I'm dubious about the love of cottage cheese on social media.

I'm a weirdo who genuinely likes it, often with other flavours but if I need something plain I'll go with this. But I've been going with it for decades now and it used to be part of a favourite sandwich which I want now and makes me more or a weirdo. Cottage cheese, peanut butter, banana and alfafa sprouts. I discovered it at a health shop. Sometimes with added Branston pickle. No, I wasn't pregnant!

Sour dough bread is too hard. That sandwich came in lovely soft bread which made my teeth happy.

IchBinPapst · 24/05/2025 00:51

Avocado, although that one might be over. Absolutely disgusting.

Air fryers. There’s just no need, at all, for me. I can see that others might have a situation where one suits them perfectly.

Vegetable crisps. They’re not are they? They’re a weird mix of rock hard / rubbery.

I do like sourdough toast. With butter/cheese/baked beans/soup/eggs ]… not avocado, obviously.

CJsGoldfish · 24/05/2025 00:54

DesparatePragmatist · 23/05/2025 22:19

Overnight oats. Sloppy cold glop.

Wish that salt wasn't now compulsory with caramel.

The words smash and patty should not be allowed anywhere near food that wants me to eat it.

I've never really eaten oats, not even growing up but, I LOVE overnight oats. I take them for lunch sometimes. In the morning, I top them with stewed plums from my garden or, when I've run out, other stewed type fruit. Delish!

Yeah. Dirty fries. It's just wrong.

How can anyone pretend to like something they put in their mouth?

Oh, I've definitely pretended to like something I've put in my mouth before 😂

If someone has made something or insisted I try something they are excited about, I probably exaggerate how much I like it.
Done that too many times as well 😆
You start off strong, feigning enthusiasm and then it's difficult to come back from that and you find yourself eating avo on toast every single time you stay over because you loved it so much that first time

WitchHag · 24/05/2025 01:12

Truffle, White, Oil any of it.

Except chocolate truffles, they’re more than acceptable.

Though to be fair I don’t even pretend to like it. I had a perfectly lovely baked Camembert utterly ruined by someone pouring truffle shite all over it.

Aperol spritz

I actually do love that!

Newmeagain · 24/05/2025 01:15

People like different things.

Foostit · 24/05/2025 01:16

Wagamama! I’m always baffled when I see queues there. I went once and didn’t fancy anything on the menu and the waitress was really rude.
Also salad 🤢

Bubble tea, is it still a thing?

My 14 year old son loves it (with the tapioca pearls rather than the popping kind). He still makes it a couple of times a week.
