Mummy Pig Went Private!

MyOliveHelper · 22/05/2025 09:11

Evie Pig was born in the Lindo Wing even though Mummy Pig has mentioned the COL crisis. I think it was a response to the chronic underfunding and poor performance of the NHS. Saying that, the Lindo isn't infallible.

Did you go private? Would you? Could you?

I can't understand why she only had one lol.
Usually 8 to 12 in a litter lol.
Private every time.

That was always my dream future occupation as a child: being somebody who cooks spaghetti Grin

You just need to find yourself a doctor to marry, become a lesbian and you’re almost there. 😂

WisePearlPoet · 22/05/2025 13:57

I think Miss Rabbit will be the Midwife.

FrankyGoesToBollywood · 22/05/2025 14:02

I couldn’t afford to go private but I don’t get the judgment for those that do. Surely if we all live the NHS the ideal situation is people who can afford to do so paying for private care, not burdening an already creaking system?!

Helped by Dr Brown Bear .

Will he offer her any pain-relief medicine that tastes of carpet-flavoured socks?!

Orangemintcream · 22/05/2025 14:12

If it’s good enough for the Princess of Wales… no chance of her using an NHS hospital and being left in her own blood and vomit as described in another thread.

Swiftie1878 · 22/05/2025 14:12

My favourite MN thread, ever! 😂

andHelenknowsimmiserablenow · 22/05/2025 14:16

Well done Mommy Pig.
Good for you.
I didn't go private but absolutely would have done if I could have.

No, still in the same class with all of her usual pals, George is in there too now, oddly.

Madam Gazelle hasn’t aged a day, which is remarkable given the stress of her job.

That’s because Madam Gazelle is a vampire.

Jolenepleasetakeawaymyman · 22/05/2025 14:28

Here is the evidence about madam Gazelle this is why she never ages

I don't understand why Mummy Pig only has one piglet at a time. Last time I visited a pig farm, the sows were happily feeding a minimum of 5 babies each.

IfYouPutASausageInItItsNotAViennetta · 22/05/2025 14:48

Never mind that; why do they eat sausages at a barbecue?!

Is Piglet premature - I thought due date was in June?

Maybe being smaller she was quicker to draw than expected.

daddysgirlnot · 22/05/2025 15:35

I would for the postnatal care. Midwives are swamped these days.

I hate to tell you but pigs will eat anything, including each other! Don't stand still too long in the pig pen.

If I had the funds I'd have an independent midwife, home appointments, no conveyer belt care, another home birth . Alas funds don't stretch that far so I would have my third NHS home birth if we are lucky enough to get a third to stick.

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 22/05/2025 15:50

Well, I thought the picture looked photoshopped.

Has a birth photo been released yet - or even a trotter in soft focus?

Bit insensitive of Mummy Pig to go private when her good friend Miss Rabbit works about 28 jobs (including the Helicopter Rescue Service, which Mummy Pig herself has used multiple times) to feed her bunnies, IMO.

Disgusting woman she can only afford it due to all the £££ from monetising the kids.

Poor peppa and george growing up on screens in front of the world without informed consent....

It's like champagne socialists being proud of using limited taxpayer money to send their children to state schools, reducing resources for children whose parents can't afford private.
For some reason they think they deserve a round of applause!
The NHS was set up for poor people. Rich people just paid for doctors whereas the poor died in the street.

Vitrolinsanity · 22/05/2025 17:22

You can complain about the COL and still chose private. Perhaps Grandpa Pig flogged his boat.

Millie90 · 22/05/2025 17:45

I think you're overthinking quite a lot over a fictional cartoon character...I doubt there is a political message ffs 🙄

My kids are at an age where I'm more invested in the goings on in Peppa's family than anyone elses, except maybe a certain Australian puppy.

😆😆 however isn’t the one with all the kids mummy rabbit, miss rabbit’s sister?
