Mummy Pig Went Private!

MyOliveHelper · 22/05/2025 09:11

Evie Pig was born in the Lindo Wing even though Mummy Pig has mentioned the COL crisis. I think it was a response to the chronic underfunding and poor performance of the NHS. Saying that, the Lindo isn't infallible.

Did you go private? Would you? Could you?

Aren't the outcomes of complex births (of which MP is at risk of given her age and ahem weight) worse at private hospitals?

AlorsTimeForWine · 22/05/2025 09:15

Disgusting woman she can only afford it due to all the £££ from monetising the kids.

Poor peppa and george growing up on screens in front of the world without informed consent....

Kibble29 · 22/05/2025 09:15

Bit insensitive of Mummy Pig to go private when her good friend Miss Rabbit works about 28 jobs (including the Helicopter Rescue Service, which Mummy Pig herself has used multiple times) to feed her bunnies, IMO.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 22/05/2025 09:15

I think its sad that they had mummy pig go private

Very unpatriotic

Yes this happens at our unit. We take the complicated or expensive cases from a local private hospital. I always find it awkward when they've had to be blue lighted from there to us because they don't have the money for the care they need.

Our local private hospital actually can care for quite high risk mums and babies if you have the money.

No I changed it as I felt this was fun and If gone off on a rant!

TY78910 · 22/05/2025 09:24

this exact argument was on Lorraine this morning… Lorraine - is that you?

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 22/05/2025 09:27

I wouldn't. But I think it depends where you are and what your circumstances are. My local hospital is small, servicing a rural area, my pregnancy was very complicated and by the end of it I knew everyone there and they knew me. I don't think I could have found better care anywhere else. It might have been a different experience in a London hospital, perhaps.

I saw it on the telly just now.

She’s changed! All the fame has gotten to her. 😉 The NHS hospital in our area is actually rated extremely highly for maternity care, with single delivery rooms and a midwife-led unit attached, so I didn’t deem it much more beneficial to go private when weighing up options.

Haha!

Well to answer your question… I don’t think I would. I had the opportunity as my insurance offers to subsidise some of private maternity services but the thought that if anything became an emergency they would just ring you an ambulance and potentially waste time really put me off so I birthed on the NHS. All the maternity services were also more accessible as private clinics / hospitals aren’t always local

Come on Mummy Pig must be racking in the money from all the Merch. I wonder how much is being put into Trust for Peppa when she turns 18. Or will it just turn into another child star goes wild story, with ending up sitting at home snorting cocaine. .

My kids are teens now but I thought it was explained that Miss Rabbit was actually various Miss Rabbits , rather than one doing loads of different jobs?🤔

itsmeits · 22/05/2025 09:51

Wondering if Evie Pig will attend a private nursery or the same as Peppa and George 🤔 when older

Tbf Peppa must be at least 20 now given I was watching it with my oldest when he was a baby/ toddler, he's 19 this year 🤣

Plot twist, private hospitals inject you with very slow aging serum when you’re born

NewGoldFox · 22/05/2025 09:59

Mummy pig is a hard working woman (sow?)
Why shouldn’t she spend her money on her own care.

I vaguely remember Miss Rabbit making light of herself doing all the jobs in one episode so I think it is the same Miss Rabbit. Could be wrong though, I try to tune it out most the time 😅

She's clearly given them some kind of drugs to suppress their growth and development - Peppa is 21 this year!

It's not only her initials that she shares with Peter Pan!
