Inspired by DS obsession with Steve Backshall.

He would be off round the world "too busy to do childcare darling", would come home reeking of bar poo, and would insist on taking the children to play with venomous snakes "it won't hurt them if they don't bother it".

There are estimated to be between 4 and 6 million different podcasts. About everything from food to football to philosophy to physics to fishing to feminism to friendship to Friends.

Let's say two thirds of them are presented by men. Do you think those men have much in common?

If he is a straight man with a microphone I pass.

Neil Oliver is also mad as a box of frogs.

Isn't he anti vaxx? Or believes in flat earth or lizard conspiracies?
I think he'd want to move us all to a cave in the Highlands but he'd be hopeless at organising and expect you to pack all the survival stuff.

Those threads are something else!

She’ll probably pop up in a minute to ramble drunkenly at me for saying so Grin

Dear me - are you attracted to his mullet, his smug know-it-all persona or his poor interview technique of long, involved questions he then answers himself?

All of the above and his uncanny ability for impressions showing my age if I mention Ali G 😁.

James Cordon
Gregg Wallace
Chris Martin

Each to their own of course, and I could be wrong, but I have only ever heard good things about Chris Martin

nildesparandum · 18/05/2025 21:44

Prince William.

IveGotAnUnusuallyLargePelvisISwear · 18/05/2025 21:50

Gregg Wallace. I think someone posted a link here to an article about his average day ages ago and he seemed to be an irritating, self absorbed cunt way before his big controversy a few months ago.

Jamie Oliver. I get the feeling he’d have a right old whinge if you gave the kids anything like fish fingers even once in a blue moon. Can’t stand him.

Rebekah Vardy. Horrible, thick, probably still banging on about bloody Colleen Rooney being a meany for rightfully suing her.

Whenever I've seen him on anything it's always taken me by surprise what a great and self deprecating sense of humour he has. His episode of Extras is also one of the best ones.

Vitrolinsanity · 18/05/2025 20:38

Would totally do him. Pure fucking filth, and no problem having an after party fag.

Really, have you met him too because that's pretty much what I've heard from the women I know who met him at car events etc.

We were talking about Jeremy Clarkson. Who IMO is gross.

I however would do Jeremy Corbyn every day of the week 😄

So would I. Socialists are filthy. Especially the leafletty ones.

Oh no, I think he'd be filthy in the wrong way, never scrubbing his fingernails after being on the allotment, and expecting the women to make the tea at union meetings.

I think he might at a pinch make the tea, but sure as hell wouldn’t collect the plates and cups afterwards and wash them up put them back in the cupboard and wipe down the sink and work surfaces.

Tiedbutchorestodo · 18/05/2025 23:44

I can’t agree with the Tom Cruise hate - I like a driven man and he seems so passionate about what he does - I could convert to Scientology for him!

I think Ryan Reynolds would be a nightmare - I mean he’s really handsome but he comes across as thinking he’s so clever and strikes me as the type of guy who likes to tell you he’s a nice guy, and that type never really is.

Maybe it's the weird way he ditches his wives at the age of 33

Nah. Nothing self deprecating about taking your daughter to a debutante ball. Introducing his daughter into rich society (traditionally to find a husband) when he waffles on about being "normal". Please.
I got tickets to see Coldplay in a few months. My son was desperate to go so I am really pleased someone else has offered to go in my place.

Edited

Or take home the tea towels to wash and dry.

I could imagine Tom Cruise being really controlling and quite nasty behind closed doors. I know if you leave scientology you are discommunicated but really, what sort of man just drops his daughter like he seemed to?

Yes and anyone who knew about the lengths Katie Homes had to go to in order to free herself from him would not want to be his wife, that’s for sure!

Mimi, Nicole and Katie all seemed bloody delighted to escape him. The man can act, but I wouldn’t want any woman I care about within a mile of him.

Because he took his daughter to a debutants ball 😂😂😂…..massive overreaction don’t you think!

Tbf I was taken to see Coldplay at the O2 (may have been Wembley, I've largely blocked the memory 🤣) as a client work thing, not optional, all expenses paid etc. Long before Apple was debutante age. It was dreadful and I was glad of the free VIP bar. So it's understandable not going out of choice!

I was at one of their concerts recently and it was outstanding

JMSA · 19/05/2025 15:35

Robbie Williams. Wasn’t he singing while his wife was in labour, or something annoying like that?
