AIBU to start a thread about Diddy?

I was wondering whether we are even allowed to, given the lack of threads about him here.

Anyway, watching the video footage of him beating and kicking his girlfriend it occurred to me - all that money he's got he can probably make most people do whatever he wants - but Diddy had to beat his girlfriend. Not beating her wasn't an option.

I wonder what sort of family he grew up in. Behavour like that is just passed on from generation to generation I guess.

I dont know why you think she was more powerful than him. She was more famous at one point maybe, but I don't know how much agency she had iykwim.

I also dont know why people are honing in on JLo specifically as being somehow responsible for speaking out when no one else did to any effect either. In any event Diddy seems to have had a habit of recording people doing things they wouldn't want made public so I expect that accounts for an awful lot of people who knew what he got up to staying quiet. Pre-emptive blackmail is a very effective strategy.

Jlo was a major part of his life & celebrity image - she was also arrested for carrying his gun in a public night club which was heavily glossed over once they split so people waiting for her to speak out & her not wanting too is pretty normal

KTSl1964 · 15/05/2025 20:31

I wonder if he physically and sexually assaulted JLO?
He's a disgraceful man - a monster actually - there must be lots of witnesses if it's going on for 6 weeks. His life is over anyway - poor Cassie - she's very brave - imagine him as a father - what a role model!!!
I wonder if his children are scared of him.

Parsley1234 · 15/05/2025 20:50

@KTSl1964 my moneys on yes a million %

MorningSunlight · 15/05/2025 21:17

It pisses me off the way his depraved un-consenting sex sessions are referred to as ‘freak-offs’ whatever the hell that’s supposed to mean. It trivialises and belittles it to me.

JHound · 15/05/2025 21:18

Why would you think you’d not be allowed to start a thread on him?

JHound · 15/05/2025 21:20

Renabrook · 15/05/2025 08:20

What is it about the millionaire that women fall over themselves about him and why would anyone want to go to his parties?

This is a grotesque comment.

JHound · 15/05/2025 21:21

Parsley1234 · 15/05/2025 09:56

@caramac04 lets hope I was surprised there was nothing n here before unless I missed it. However I only noticed the headlines yesterday I think the trial started May 5th all of those rappers are bad news just waiting for Jay Zee to be named there was a reason why Solange hit him
in that elevator

She hit him because he cheated on her sister.

JHound · 15/05/2025 21:23

ButteredRadish · 15/05/2025 14:39

I don’t understand why anyone over here is even interested in it all? He’s a rich American with such a level of power & wealth so eye watering that 99.9% of us will never see a tenth of in our lifetimes. The way people like him live their life is so vastly different to almost anyone else on earth that it’s just bizarre.
What he’s done is horrible & sickening of course but actually following the trial? Nah. But then I’ve never found it entertaining to hear all about the sick & twisted actions of deeply unwell criminals.

People follow stories like this all the time. The Harvey Weinstein was equally big news over here.

Parsley1234 · 15/05/2025 21:34

@JHound I would say that’s a given there’s more to it than that

JHound · 15/05/2025 21:35

I doubt it.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 15/05/2025 21:37

The BBC trial podcast coverage is very information.
He is psychotic.
I bet a lot of celebrities are terrified of the trial outcome.

Parsley1234 · 15/05/2025 21:56

@EmeraldShamrock000 Epstein all over again
@JHound i have never seen confirmation of the reason she hit him is that your belief or did you see it confirmed

Red0 · 15/05/2025 22:08

Not RTFT so may have already been said, but I think some of kids had to leave court during parts as they are considered minors being under the age of 21

Poonu · 15/05/2025 22:10

Clownsy · 15/05/2025 13:07

The case is interesting.
Apparently it was very well known for a long time what he was up to.
However, it took him trying to screw over a mega big international company for his activities to actually somehow grab the attention of the police.
A strange one.

@Clownsy
Can you give more details?
I always suspected he had annoyed the wrong person and that's why this blew up

Cantstopsneezingatishoo · 15/05/2025 22:35

Been waiting for a thread and wondering why there wasn’t one

Cucy · 15/05/2025 23:15

He is very successful and there is a strong correlation between being extremely successful and being a narcissist.

Stories have been coming out for years about him.
His ex wife died and people blamed him, many people said that when they were together he made her life a living hell and people think he had a part in Tupac’s murder.
But he’s also managed to come out without a scratch and so you know that means he must pay people off or something.

I remember when his ex cassie first came out and hardly anyone believed her.
If it wasn’t for the video then people would still believe him over her, proving how manipulative and dangerous he is.

Comtesse · 16/05/2025 09:11

That poor woman. I am glad she’s free now from that horror. She’s a brave, brave person.

Clownsy · 16/05/2025 09:27

Well I was reading that it has been well known exactly who he is for decades and he has been making a lot of money for big entertainment companies and himself for many years.

However, in some negotiations with a HUGE drinks company he overplayed his hand and he needed putting in his place.
So stuff that was well known suddenly got released to the media.

Decades long abuse an manipulation of young artists.
Those that have been deemed "crazy" are often those whom were trying to speak out.

It is desperately sad.
The corruption goes to the very heart of both industries and to the very top.

It appears several of the huge names in the music industry and some in Hollywood who "died"....suddenly ........didn't do so naturally, particularly those who died from pneumonia and lung issues.

Like I say, a rabbit hole.
I have never been a conspiracy theorist in any way but it all seems to have been long known.

Have a look at Katt Williams and Jaquar Wright on You tube and go from there.

Its a cesspool.

I've been deep down that rabbit hole for months now. It's a lot deeper than people think.

Shyne is someone I really respect - "Bad Boys" is still a classic for me.

I'm glad Shyne has found peace and forgiviness in his life. I know I couldn't.

HelloCheekyCat · 18/05/2025 18:13

I love that the prosecution team in court is all women 👊
I really hope he's found guilty because the racketeering charges (organised crime) carry up to 25 years in jail.

HairyToity · 22/05/2025 10:51

I do hope he goes down. The worst of role models who treated women appallingly.
