I was wondering whether we are even allowed to, given the lack of threads about him here.

Anyway, watching the video footage of him beating and kicking his girlfriend it occurred to me - all that money he's got he can probably make most people do whatever he wants - but Diddy had to beat his girlfriend. Not beating her wasn't an option.

I wonder what sort of family he grew up in. Behavour like that is just passed on from generation to generation I guess.

I don’t understand why anyone over here is even interested in it all? He’s a rich American with such a level of power & wealth so eye watering that 99.9% of us will never see a tenth of in our lifetimes. The way people like him live their life is so vastly different to almost anyone else on earth that it’s just bizarre.
What he’s done is horrible & sickening of course but actually following the trial? Nah. But then I’ve never found it entertaining to hear all about the sick & twisted actions of deeply unwell criminals.

Because the 'big' people rarely get hold accountable.

is this trial just relating to Cassie or all his other charges too?

He grew up in the sort of family who attends his court hearing for rape & human trafficking along side his kids with 0 critisism.

You know ... The sort who have been living off the fat of his lifestyle since his peak celebrity days

Waterweight · 15/05/2025 15:26

@HollyBerryz it's for all of it - he's plead guilty to domestic violence & not guilty to rape & human trafficking

I listened too, very interesting run down. He is a nasty nasty man. He was nasty before he had money and is an excellent manipulator. He also has zero talent.

And he is possibly one of the ugliest men I have ever seen, if he wasn’t loaded no woman would have touched that with a barge pole

CleverButScatty · 15/05/2025 15:45

I am sure that I read his father was a gangster involved in organised crime and that he was exposed to it from a very young age.

Parsley1234 · 15/05/2025 15:50

The rewrite of his mum being a teacher I don’t think so she looks like what are is and his dad was a gangster killed by a gun. She’s no teacher

HiddenInCubeOfCheese · 15/05/2025 15:50

I absolutely agree that Cassie is a victim and Lord knows the horror she’s been through and how that would break anyone. My issue is JLo then became far more successful and powerful than PD and she didn’t have the balls or moral fibre to say “stop. He did X”.

It’s like she’s just brushed it under the carpet and distanced herself. I mean, her life is already a bit of a joke. Not like she’s got much face to lose. Cassie, conversely, doesn’t have JLo’s power or wealth.

I dont know why you think she was more powerful than him. She was more famous at one point maybe, but I don't know how much agency she had iykwim.

I also dont know why people are honing in on JLo specifically as being somehow responsible for speaking out when no one else did to any effect either. In any event Diddy seems to have had a habit of recording people doing things they wouldn't want made public so I expect that accounts for an awful lot of people who knew what he got up to staying quiet. Pre-emptive blackmail is a very effective strategy.

HiddenInCubeOfCheese · 15/05/2025 16:09

I guess the honing in on JLo is because she would have seen everything and she’s one of the few people who saw it and had money/power. Security guards or hangers on etc etc have everything to lose and very little leverage, whereas that doesn’t apply to JLo.

i don’t think she’s come out and addressed anything either so maybe it’s also an element of “she’s just pretending it’s all fine” which grates. She styled herself as a bit of an America’s Sweetheart and so it just seems so much more fake and dishonest than others not speaking up.

Mermaidsarereal · 15/05/2025 16:26

I'm not sure how credible they are but there's a few documentaries out there about him growing up and the parties etc. Really wish we could watch the trial!

CigarettesAndLoveBites · 15/05/2025 16:27

What happened to his first wife?

aquestionforya · 15/05/2025 16:37

I’ve been following the trial on X/twitter reading the tweets of a courtroom journalist minute by minute. It’s crazy. (@ Innercitypress) if anyone else wants to get sucked in.

he is a depraved individual and I’m so pleased she is out of this and now with a (what seems like) great husband who, possibly, quite literally rescued her and saved her life.

NeelyOHara · 15/05/2025 16:40

You have no idea what JLo was privy, or subjected to. The idea that she was more famous and powerful than the extremely well connected, near billionaire, Diddy is a bit of a stretch too.

Agreed. Following his trial via a thread on MN is so much more classy Smile.

She died (young) suddenly.. apparently pneumonia. If you listen to the gossip sites she was ready to release a tell all book…
I don’t know. A little suspicious when you take into account other things that have happened to anyone who got in Diddy’s way (2pac, suge knight, kid cudi - cassie’s ex )

One thing I don't understand is why his children are in court listening to what their Dad got up to and seeing pictures of the freak-offs.

Where can I find this? So the podcast is called red handed?

Quite, this thread is a strange place to be for pps claiming to have no interest in the case

YABU

This is an active court case and a certain number of his "representatives" have been rumoured to be scouring social media and wider internet looking for reasons to claim undue influence has has harmed his ability for to get a fair trial. Don't give them that.

@caramac04 lets hope I was surprised there was nothing n here before unless I missed it. However I only noticed the headlines yesterday I think the trial started May 5th all of those rappers are bad news just waiting for Jay Zee to be named there was a reason why Solange hit him
in that elevator

Jay-Z is definitely in deep in all of this

HiddenInCubeOfCheese · 15/05/2025 16:58

Wonder why nobody’s had him bumped off yet. If it’s good enough for Jeffrey…

Tbf, I don’t think those involved are MN readers.

IG, TikTok and Twitter doing far more heavy lifting

ChaiLarious · 15/05/2025 17:08

I've been watching to see if a thread about this would appear. I've fallen deep down the rabbit hole of the whole saga many times and people like Jaguar Wright, Katt Williams and Orland Brown have been trying to tell people for years what was really happening and been dismissed crazy (Orlando Brown quite possibly is but that's another story).

HelloCheekyCat · 15/05/2025 17:08

I'm listening to Bad Rap: the case against Diddy
It's by a lawyer so feels very thorough and started before the trial (I'm only on episode 3) a d is on going covering the trial

caramac04 · 15/05/2025 08:44

Let’s hope justice is served

The southern district of New York have a 90-95% conviction rate so the odds are good!
