Disgusted by school’s response to complaint about pervy teacher - Final Update

SophEll · 02/05/2025 13:08

Well, well, well. I’ve had a very lengthy and interesting phone call from the Headteacher (HT) handling my complaint.

I now consider the matter resolved, I’m sure you are wondering what was said and I’ve done my best to summarise below:

-My initial complaint WAS wrongly dismissed without investigation - as the comments made related to a school interaction.

-The HT has offered me an unreserved apology on behalf of the school for the handling of my initial complaint which I have gratefully accepted, as long as it’s also offered in writing (which I’m assured it will be).

-I’m told the Chair was most unimpressed to learn of my experience when complaining and an urgent review of their complaints procedure has been ordered. The HT tells me that they’ll ensure appropriate oversight is put in place moving forward and was extremely grateful for me bringing this to their attention.

-As previously noted, they cannot share the outcome of the investigation into my concerns about the interaction I had, which is perfectly understandable. Yes, I know he’ll get a slap on the wrist at best and should be suitably embarrassed, but that should be sufficient to prevent someone else going through what I did.

The term ‘tail between legs’ comes to mind for certain posters on here - I await your apologies with bated breath!

Thanks for those who’ve offered constructive suggestions on how to proceed, this outcome is a victory for anyone who has ever had a complaint wrongly dismissed.

I’ve also thanked my DH, whilst initially sceptical his support in emailing the Chair made all the difference. I have the utmost respect for how the Chair and HT handled this so promptly.

I feel as though I can now put the whole sorry saga behind me and move forward (I’ll probably give that bar a miss in the future mind you!)

I’ve told DH to put the champagne on ice!

Yeah I agree with this actually. It’s all very Katie Hopkins now.

Hope you get the help you need op.

That's EXACTLY who OP reminds me of!

The morning after the day/night before and I’ve still got that triumphant feeling.

Also feeling a little sore (the champers before any asks, you dirty buggers!)

Not read back - are the usual suspects still whinging?

I doubt you'll be able to string your attention seeking out to 1000 posts, as you haven't achieved anything triumphant at all.

bringbackthespira · 03/05/2025 13:28

Wow what an odd lady.
I thought this when I read the first bit, the ‘triumph’ is making my toes curl.
despite the glowing career she’s clearly never filled someone full of bullshit just to get them to piss off and go away.
bet her husband leads an utter dogs life 😂

If this ever happened, and I realise it’s a big if, it was pointed out yesterday that these ridiculous threads were being discussed on teachers’ Facebook groups yesterday - does the OP seriously not realise that there’s a very good chance the Headteacher will also have read them (not necessarily all the comments, but her contributions)? I somehow suspect that her gloating and unhinged comments will add another dimension to her ‘complaint’ that has been taken so seriously 😆😆😆. I would love to be a fly on the wall at the next governing body meeting when the head reports on complaints that he has dealt with 😆

And all this is now on record should the the OP decide her 'triumph' is not enough and take it further. I'm sure the Facebook stalking, champagne celebration and role playing such a traumatic experience will go down well.

I'm quite looking forward to the next installment.

'We went out to the night club again and he was still there, I have reported him as the punishment clearly didn't work.'

The OP won't have heard him say anything but will have seen him close to women.

It will be interesting to see how far she can push the delusion.

What is common sense is that this entire incident was fabricated and the OP is a very bored, sadistic individual.

We've experienced how easy it is for a man to be wrongly labelled a paedophile and rape has been minimalised throughout this thread.

Yes, mumsnet at it's worst for sure, but NOT from the majority of the posters here.

oh please. The vast majority of posters on all three threads have been falling over backwards to defend this man and his casual misogyny.
Meanwhile the way people have reacted to OP….

Because her issue and her triumph isn’t about him and the comment it is about the school and her feeling slighted and the fact that because she felt slighted she didn’t care what the consequences were to anyone else. Her attitude towards everyone else and her narcissistic tendencies

Agreed. In the end, it had little to do with him. We saw this when, after being fobbed off by the school, she gloated and attempted to show off with tales of champagne and role play.

This is someone who, besides not knowing that the second participle of ‘eat’ is ‘eaten’ (“I’d have ate him alive”) is possibly not that bright, and has little power or agency in her life. She was desperate to feel she could exert some kind of power. People often behave like this when they feel overlooked or disenfranchised.

Nobody has defended this fictional man's comments. His lewdness rapidly became overshadowed by OP's vulgarness though.

For anyone unsure on the voting:

YABU - the school should have responded more strongly.

YANBU - it’s a reasonable outcome.

Oh there were some corkers.

So upset was OP at the vulgar language she had to 'go through ' 'she' proceeded to tell us that us old bags would never be propositioned.......that she would have ate him alive, that 'her' and her hubby were having a bit of roleplay and she/he was sore this morning

So I think we can safely say she/he was having fun from the beginning, and wasn't happy when a merry band had some real laughs yesterday

Part 3 was pure class

Calliopespa · 03/05/2025 18:46

Muffinmam · 02/05/2025 14:19

I went back to your original post where you were told in no unreasonable terms to get over yourself and not to damage this guy’s career.

Yet you persevered and escalated your complaint.

This had nothing to do with your child - this teacher flirted on you on a night out. A mitigating factor is he was drunk. Obviously, you’re not used to being hit on.

You were told by the head teacher that this wasn’t a school issue.

You believed you were in the right and you pushed the issue and now you are giddy with excitement that you have gotten this teacher into trouble.

I need to express how pathetic you are. Your behaviour by pushing this issue with this guys employer was to continue the narrative that you’re so attractive he couldn’t help but be creepy towards you. It’s one thing to be angry at the behaviour but it’s another thing to react with positive joy at the prospect you’ve interfered with a person’s career.

Pathetic.

It does come across as though if she hadn’t t made the complaint, not enough people would have heard about it for her liking.

Her DH sounds long-suffering. If someone had hit on my DH and he’d felt so amazed by it that he had to get maximum mileage in this way I’d felt a bit 😬 and wonder why he couldn’t just move on.

Couldn’t you have just told him to get lost op?

The reason people would normally complain is to stop it repeating in their workplace/ a professional situation. But that wasn’t an issue here.

You sound either vindictive or overly delighted by it.

It doesn't matter what the majority did, a few dangerous individuals made these leaps and that's a problem and highlights how these things can exaggerate

I don’t get why you are all so convinced this is fake? Surely it would be deleted if so? I thought troll hunting was against guidelines?

I'm certainly not troll hunting.

But I've already posted on this last night. Youve quoted me here and asked I'll do so again.

The second thread here contained some very dark conversation where it was being bandied about that teachers behaviour was compared to sexual assault, schoolgirls were brought into it. Rape and pedophilia for goodness sake. A number of posters who had actually experienced these things were getting emotional, it got hot and heavy. I and many others were NOT defending him, we said he was a sleezy fucker and i personally would have told him to fuck right off. .

OP wades in with her champers and celebrating yesterday morning. It was painfully obvious to anyone with a titter of wit that a third thread was neither needed nor appropriate.

And it was also painfully obvious it was shite. Lots of Governors on saying nothing would be able to be investigated in 36 hours and if it was true then it was a placating letter.

Op posts frequently through the day, clearly on a wind up getting more and more vulgar....bit of a slap in the face to those who had so far taken the situation seriously and had posted with their true feelings, whether they agreed with her or not, they were posting some heavy stuff to them

So do forgive me when I see OP openly taking the piss out of me and others yesterday that I think what the fuck.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness, long and repeating what I have already said before but you did ask!

But people had been so rude and awful to her for three threads straight? I feel like anyone would get wound up. People react differently, but OP’s response in my view was definitely of the normal/ human spectrum
