How much do you pay your window cleaner?

Particularly interested in answers from people in three bed detached houses.

Mine has gone up in price again. Latest bill is £24 for less than ten minutes work. 9 windows on the house.

OP posts:

3 bed detached bungalow, 8 windows, French doors & main door of course £15.

MilesOfMotivation · 28/04/2025 19:50

Once a month, four bed, end terrace, 3-storey house, back and front. £20.

We pay £12. Detached with more beds than you, so I think what you're paying sounds expensive. They use the water tank/hose method, not climbing ladders.

2 patio doors, 9 windows (they usually miss one) and glass panes in other external doors.

NamelessNinja · 28/04/2025 19:56

£20 for 3 bed semi and conservatory. Every 6 weeks or so.

JoJo10 · 28/04/2025 19:57

3 bed semi detached, 8 windows £12 every 8 weeks.

Deedledee1976 · 28/04/2025 19:58

Three-bed semi in Surrey: £25.

Pole.

It's also a bog standard three bed detached. No difficult features etc.

I feel from reading these that I'm getting fleeced.

I pay £22 for a similar sized house OP. It’s preferable to having to stand on the bottom of a ladder as 76 year old DH does it badly😳😵‍💫🫣

Addictforanex · 28/04/2025 20:47

£35 for 17 windows and 3 sets of sliding doors.

mumofbun · 28/04/2025 20:50

£28 for me and the in laws - if I remember right ours is £15 and theirs £13. We're both detached but we are 2 storeys 8 windows and a set of french doors, theirs is bungalow with 6 windows

Junibug · 28/04/2025 21:03

I win - £56 every 6 weeks 😫

That’s for 24 windows (Georgian style) including 2 sets of bifolds. Poles only. I’m in the East Midlands.

Gettingbysomehow · 28/04/2025 21:14

£15 for front and back 3 bedroom terraced house.

YouMustBeTheWeasleys · 28/04/2025 21:14

£12 for 3 bed semi - 7 windows and French doors - East Anglia

@itsnotabouthepasta

Dirty water or not I can categorically state that the window cleaner who did my mothers windows and many others in the area had them sparkling

The system you talk about is in no way superior!!! It leaves water splashes on the windows and I hate it!

£32 pound here. Health & Safety is what he told me when I asked why he used the system he did and not the other method.

If it leaves splashes then the filter levels are wrong. That’s literally the whole point of the pole system. It’s pure water. The filtration removes any minerals from the water so it dries absolutely clear.

and why is health and safety a bad thing? Absolutely I don’t want my husband going up and down ladders when he doesn’t have to.

Quitelikeit · 28/04/2025 22:30

Well thank you for that I will be telling him the next time it happens

Look I’m not going to get het up over climbing some ladders if that’s what some folk like to do
