And apparently the placards aren't that bad because there were only "a few" people holding them.

It's an interesting logic though, hold a despicable sign wishing death on women and it's fine because not everyone has one and the poor lambs have had a tough few days.

Trans people are certainly included within women’s rights - trans people whose sex is female. I can explain to you what they have in common with every other woman and why they need sex specific rights regardless of how they identify.

However there is no overlap in characteristics shared by trans identifying men and women that couldn’t be shared with other males.

It’s not even as though ‘trans’ is a clearly defined group. It’s a subjective concept.

The council say they need special equipment to clean the seven different statues some thugs at the “protest” defaced. So perhaps it wasn’t chalk, as the pp thought.

They didn’t just use chalk. Many statues have been defaced and spray paint has been used.

I feel that for consistency, particularly I have to point out that there are only two sexes.

It’s spray paint that identifies as chalk, so np. Trans Rights!
