I could overhear comments about my tea drinking.
I will drink cold herbal tea rather than throw it away.
Apparently it's skanky.Got me thinking what's low standards.?
For me it is
Wearing dirty clothes or shoes.
Poor hygiene especially dirty hands nails or teeth.
What are yours that give you the ick.

I have a dirty floor because my vacuum broke and it’s £100+ for a new one.

Probably very unhelpful, but I recently bought a xs Russel Hobbs, very small but my downstairs is all tiles or laminate so can be swept. It was only £45, which I thought was reasonable given the good reviews. Hope you're able to source a replacement soon.

I use the weird triangle scrapy thing on the stairs (and a wet rubber glove/trainer). Saves trekking the vacuum around and seems to get more dog hair off.

I would say that skanky behaviour is wearing shorts that are too small that put half your bum cheeks on display. I would say it is sleeping with multiple people within a very short time frame, without protection. I would say it is drinking too much, stumbling out of nightclubs, eating a kebab and getting kebab sauce all over your face and clothes then being sick in a bin. I would say it is going to bed without cleaning your teeth. I would say it is not showering to the point where other people can smell you.

And just keep adding to landfill?

An Asda toaster is a lot less landfill than most of the ‘only used once’ wedding tat!

Apologies I hadn't seen any response and worked all of Easter.
I agree skanky is an old fashioned word.
The gossips who said it are really judgy....no idea why.
I was trying to figure out if my standards were dropping.
Apparently these women have been dreadful to many others.
I do have Dulux or own brand paint though.😁

I bet the people who made the comment about your tea are probably skanks themselves , except they are in denial

Cold sores? Really? I am willing to bet that you haven't ever suffered from them.

I’ve suffered from them my whole life and have to say I agree with this poster. They are skanky! I feel so unclean when I have one 😢

Not washing your children's coats

Some children's coats are dry clean only , my daughter's were. I don't think that made us skanky.
