Seasonal and home made.
Why are you asking?

EveryOtherNameTaken · 10/04/2025 20:14

French
Malaysian/Indonesian

Actually most cuisines!

Not so much Italian or Northern European.

kitchenplans · 10/04/2025 20:17

Indian is my favourite restaurant/takeaway from those options. But generally I like a varied diet containing a range of different cuisines.

SilverBlue56 · 10/04/2025 20:17

Potatoes in any and many cuisines

CalicoPusscat · 10/04/2025 20:18

Too many to list!

PurpleFlower1983 · 10/04/2025 20:19

I love Mexican food.

YesHonestly · 10/04/2025 20:20

Thai.

Or Chinese. Or Indian.

This is hard.

dontforgetme · 10/04/2025 20:25

If it’s takeaway then Indian. If I’m cooking then Mexican. If my dp is cooking it’s Italian.

LindorDoubleChoc · 10/04/2025 20:29

Something from a menu in a good restaurant where I am not paying the bill.

amusedbush · 10/04/2025 20:30

American. Stacks of pancakes, fried chicken sandwiches, tater tots, burgers, cheesesteaks...

I'm sure that won't be a popular answer but I'm autistic and have crippling ARFID. To quote Bob Mortimer: meats and cheeses, always pleases 😁

YourWinter · 10/04/2025 20:33

Fish and chips, salt and vinegar, eaten by the sea. Especially in Norfolk.

Butteredtoast55 · 10/04/2025 20:39

I like really good, fresh food that's seasonal and quite plain: lovely freshly baked bread, butter that's studded with little salt crystals, tomatoes fresh from the greenhouse and a piece of sharp cheddar, followed by sun ripened strawberries or a juicy peach would be my perfect summer meal. In winter, gorgeous roasted root vegetables with sage or a butternut squash risotto. That kind of thing. In a nutshell, I like fruit, veg and carbs! 😁

DemonsandMosquitoes · 10/04/2025 20:39

Chinese without a doubt.

I've just eaten dinner, but your description..... I could eat it all, right now!

pukekokekup · 10/04/2025 20:52

Authentic Chinese food

TooFancyNancy · 10/04/2025 20:55

I’m really into Mexican food at the moment (although it’s probably realistically more ‘tex-mex’ in terms of authenticity)

however although I’m a good cook, the one food I can’t replicate as good as at restaurants/takeaway is Indian.

Iudncuewbccgrcb · 10/04/2025 20:56

Salt garlic butter lemon

ALunchbox · 10/04/2025 21:00

Japanese
Korean

MrsRuthFisher · 10/04/2025 21:03

Takeaway - Chinese, all day long. I could literally eat it every day.
But at home, I'm a carb queen. Especially potatoes, in any form, but homemade mash is the best!

Jellycatspyjamas · 10/04/2025 21:04

If I’m cooking then it’s a roast dinner - I love all the bits and pieces that go with and nothing beats a really good piece of lamb or beef. If I’m eating out then there’s a fabulous Persian restaurant near me that’s just perfect. For takeaway it’s Indian.

Comedycook · 10/04/2025 21:07

I love all food!

I love a really good Chinese and also really good french patisserie...

Comedycook · 10/04/2025 21:08

Oh and let me loose in an Italian deli...all the cheeses, meats and antipasti

Justme10 · 10/04/2025 21:15

Oh it has to be Indian for me, love all the spices and flavours 😋

Why are you asking?

Why do you think she is asking? It’s a chat forum Confused

If I had to choose one cuisine, I’d probably go for Indian food…but I’d be very crestfallen to lose British classics and Chinese takeaway and Greek food (I like food).

Endofyear · 10/04/2025 21:26

Homemade it would be Indian food - my mum is from India and it's the food I grew up eating. My boys still love daal and aloo parathas, it's their comfort food 🥰

To eat out, it would be Thai food - the way it hits all the different taste buds - sweet, hot, sour and salty, it's just heaven!
