It’s a lovely house and I know the road well but I would want a bigger garden at that price.

Gundogday · 07/04/2025 18:01

I love it, but wouldn’t pay that price for it. For that money, I’d want a detached house.

Out of interest, I searched my postcode for properties over a million - there aren't any. How far do people have to zoom out on rightmove to get over a million? There are 3 if I go 5 miles out, and 42 if I go 10 miles out. I'm still struggling to find any that don't have the boring bland spaces in them though.

I’m put in Leamington Spa and didn’t zoom at at all and put 1 million as minimum but left maximum blank - try it, there was a few

Perfectly nice house. What's so great about it though? It's so similar to so many things on the market, what is it about this house in particular that you find so amazing?

I thought it was a lot of money for a semi £1.4. When the house in February was detached and I thought nicer decorated- but the road was busy - this is a quite rd

Not for me. Far too sterile, too much white, some of the rooms quite bland. And a tiny garden.

Also twice as much as I would want to pay. It's only Warwickshire. Confused And it's on a main road too.

Nope.

BatchCookBabe · 07/04/2025 20:58

@JustMeHello That house is gorgeous! 😍 I am assuming an old chapel?

RosaMoline · 07/04/2025 21:38

JustMeHello · 07/04/2025 19:14

For half the price, you could have this gorgeous thing: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/153221204#/?channel=RES_BUY

I could happily live there! I wouldn’t change a thing, either 😍

PeloMom · 07/04/2025 21:40

Not my style. A bit of mush mash. And seems a bit overpriced. I like how it looks from outside though

GeorgianaM · 07/04/2025 21:48

Awful. But a modern house if you want a contemporary look. I can't stand old houses being g ruined to make them look modern.

Bifold doors are completely naff especially on an old property.

PicaK · 07/04/2025 22:03

Absolutely gorgeous

SixtySomething · 07/04/2025 22:41

The house does have some lovely features.
However, it hasn't been done up in a way that is sympathetic to the bones of the house.
The hallway is pokey, the garden is just a yard.
I don't think a 2,00 feet house on four floors equates at all to a 2,000 feet house on just two floors.
I think you would lose money on this house because once the impressive details , modern bits like the gorgeous outside fire have aged, the house will revert to its bones, namely a pokey and probably dark semi with a kitchen built on the back.
Sorry to be so harsh!

CrushingOnRubies · 07/04/2025 22:52

Don’t like the white operating theatre kitchen.reckon you could get similar for £600k here with larger garden which doesn’t have astroturf

Not a book in sight. Says it all. 😏

There's a bookshelf in the living room. A nice bookshelf! (containing books)

MikeRafone · 08/04/2025 07:47

I went back to look for the book case, there are 3 book cases with about 30ft of shelving containing books 😄

It's over priced for the area. Nightmare parking around that area too. Have a look in Lillington or cubbington area of Leamington spa.

Nannyfannybanny · 08/04/2025 08:28

I live in a village in the SE UK,10 minutes drive from the sea, there's a house for sale in the next road,3 bed detached, it's the most "main" road we have, opposite the park,it's 1930s and £999k

Fatrosrhun · 08/04/2025 08:36

Some of it is far too modern (hate the sterile white kitchen). And it’s too close to the other neighbours all around it as well as being a semi. I couldn’t believe the price. I was expecting it to be half of that, seriously! I’d want seven acres and stables with it for that!

There isn’t anything in cubbington or lillington for over a million

It's a no from me.
I like the reception rooms but hate the rest of it: the kitchen, the grey bedrooms, the non-garden and lack of parking.
You could have this for less money.

I don't like this one at all (the seven -bedroom one). It's big, but the low ceilings and small windows make it seem really poky.
