It's very grey and beige. Not all of which could be fixed with a paint job. Nice, but no fantasy house (and I live in a flat the size of one of the floors!)

orangedream · 07/04/2025 16:50

The garden needs a lot more planting and the table in the kitchen is very small. They must not enjoy entertaining.

Are you an estate agent trying to gather opinions on properties? I’m confused.

Not an estate agent or anything to do with the property market, not my house. Just looking at right move as something to pass the time, set a parameter of 1 million and see what is available for sale.

Love the lounge

I find wholly white kitchens and bedrooms, too cold and miserable.

Silly impractical baths which are more of a showpiece than practical.

Pickingmyselfup · 07/04/2025 16:52

I quite like it, even the garden which isn't a garden. I wouldn't pay that money for that size outdoor area or a semi/terraced unless it really impressed me and I really wanted to live in the area (and had the money obviously)

jellybe · 07/04/2025 16:56

For that price you get more space locally (unless you are wanting to live in the heart of lem) it does look lovely but I would want more garden/ space for my money.

JustMeHello · 07/04/2025 17:03

I love a good browse on Rightmove. But it makes me so so sad when gorgeous period properties all look the same inside with modern kitchens that could be in any house, or swathes of grey everywhere.

Liondoesntsleepatnight · 07/04/2025 17:11

Bedroom down in basement needs an ensuite, they’ve put a sink/utility there, I wouldn’t be happy sleeping down there.

ChompandaGrazia · 07/04/2025 17:12

Nice enough but not my style.

JustMeHello · 07/04/2025 17:17

Out of interest, I searched my postcode for properties over a million - there aren't any. How far do people have to zoom out on rightmove to get over a million? There are 3 if I go 5 miles out, and 42 if I go 10 miles out. I'm still struggling to find any that don't have the boring bland spaces in them though.

WeeOrcadian · 07/04/2025 17:20

Nice

Too grey for me, not enough character

And far too expensive

I'm from t'norf though, so that money would land you a BIG house up 'ere

TheFunHare · 07/04/2025 17:22

Those curtains perturb me. They are so think they can't stretch across the window with enough material 🤔

Notellinganyone · 07/04/2025 17:23

Beautiful house utterly ruined by hideous glitzy decor that makes it look like a show home.

Good sized bedrooms for a town house and a 5 bed.

love the kitchen opening up into the garden.

Nice functional family home but fail to see its £1.4m worth.

hattie43 · 07/04/2025 17:26

For that money I’d want somewhere detached and with a much larger garden

Mischance · 07/04/2025 17:27

No thanks - crammed in with a mish mash of other properties around. Wouldn't give you tuppence for it!

My favourite pastime although I don't put a ceiling on the price. I just love looking at beautiful homes and if it's got a plaster ceiling well all the better

Mendeleyev · 07/04/2025 17:35

Leamington Spa is lovely. However my daughter and her mates have a student let on that street next year…

Sahara123 · 07/04/2025 17:42

Looks promising from the outside but has been “ greyed “ on the inside and looks soulless. Lack of garden is the final straw for me.

Itsjustnotthevibe · 07/04/2025 17:46

Nice house but it's not for me. For that money I would want detached, off road parking and a bigger garden.

CorrectionCentre · 07/04/2025 17:48

boxtop · 07/04/2025 17:31

They’ve trashed it inside, no character, and Leamington Spa isn’t anywhere special. You could buy this three storey in Hampstead for the same price https://themodernhouse.com/sales-list/watt-house

Whilst I agree with your verdict on the interior design, this one in Hampstead is 174 square m 3 bed and the one in the OP is 316 square m 5 bed so not really a like for like comparison.

I don't think you could get much further away from the sea if you tried in the UK

the lack of garden wouldn't bother me - the fact id not need a car would entice me (train round the corner and everything is walkable pretty much or uber

Perfectly nice house. What's so great about it though? It's so similar to so many things on the market, what is it about this house in particular that you find so amazing?

senua · 07/04/2025 17:51

I'm from t'norf though, so that money would land you a BIG house up 'ere

Fun fact: the north/south divide is considered to go from The Wash to the Severn Estuary and Leamington is exactly on the dividing line.
So that house is either cheap for the south or expensive for the north.Grin
