Someone should have told me I could do this before now

I recently visited McDonald's with my clearly more knowledgeable kids and watched them order burgers stripped down of everything bar the burger, bun and ketchup. But then I noticed there was a plus sign to add on as well as a minus to remove.

This was even where there were already onions and pickles on the burger so it means you can have EXTRA onions and pickles to the ones already included.

Why did I not know this? My mate who was with us did not know either which makes me feel a bit better but how long have I been missing this trick???

Am I being unreasonable to think my kids should really know they need to tell me these things

Now they do but they used to just have them sitting waiting to go into a bag.

Yes, but that was like 8 years ago. Hardly recently or anything.

So much pickle shaming! I love them!

Same. Gimme all the pickles. I have a chicken sandwich, add cheese, extra mayo and pickles.

one of my favourite things to change / substitute / have as a side instead of fries is to order the £1.99 wrap of the day but remove the wrap from the options, so it comes as two chicken selects with lettuce. Works out cheaper than buying chicken selects from the main menu, and if you don’t like the accompanying sauce you can remove that too when ordering.

Oh wow will try that 😃

McDonalds are good for certain allergies, so its a good option for us when traveling, I always add an extra burger, lettuce, onions and pickles to my veggie burger. The only thing not cooked to order is chips, so if you want a new batch you just order chips without salt.

I always get extra pickle, onions and big mac sauce on my big mac.

This was years ago and he’s just always stuck with it. We’ve been together 18 years.

Tell him none of them have been sitting for a while!

(on a mission here!)

@clary while you're helping out answering questions, is the festive pie gone forever? It's so much better than any of the stupid alternative versions they've done and I miss it.
