Knickers... How many is too many?

We are changing our bedroom furniture and my new knicker drawer is smaller than the old one; the the drawer needed to be sorted. Turns out I have 173 pairs of knickers!
This got me wondering, does anyone have less than 20 pairs? What is the minimum?

I reckon between 20-30 pairs. Had food poisoning about a year ago and had to bin a load. Probably over bought new pairs in compensation…

After my sort, I am now down to 95! I have said goodbye to some trusted old friends and some who have let me down badly!

I have a drawer rammed full of white knickers, a drawer rammed full of black knickers, a drawer full of fancy/anything other than black or white knickers plus shapewear. I dread to think how many pairs there are. There will be more in the wash as well !! 😂

I think I’ve got about 30, but old ones are being phased out. I find it handy to have loads so I can go 3 weeks without doing any washing if absolutely necessary.

That's a lot. I have 6 pairs, although I do need some more, and then 3 pairs period pants for heavy days. Does me.

I would say similar, although I might be edging closer to 100! Probably wear the same ten pairs on rotation but my knicker drawer is bursting at the seams.

6 pairs! Oh that would panic me! Living on the edge!

I do need more but it's ok - just have to make sure I wash some mid week!

I have 35 and I'm fully aware it's loads!

I haven't counted but I'd guess about 50.
I also wear at least 2 pairs a day (not at the same time obvs!) Sometimes 3. No matter what time of year. Also change socks twice a day.
If I shower I change into fresh, whatever time of day it is. If I've showered in the daytime, I will change underwear again when I get into pjs for the eve.
I know.... its not 'necessary' I just feel like I need to.

About 25 I reckon. Some are disgracefully ancient, it’s a wonder they don’t disintegrate and fall to the floor as I go about my day.

Not counting shapewear and a few very nice special occasion sets I have fewer than 20 pairs. At some point I had a ridiculous number and it was just silly so I

1. Picked out one appropriately sized drawer
2. Took all the pairs out and set them in a bin
3. Went through and grabbed my favorite skin-toned pair and black pair and added them to the keep drawer. Then over the next month I wore what I wanted and washed laundry as usual. When I chose to wear a pair it went in the drawer after washing instead of back in the bin. If I hesitated to add it to the drawer because the wearing experience wasn't great then it got tossed.
4. At the end of the month I got rid of the pairs left in the bin I hadn't ever chosen to wear.
5. Going forward I followed a one in one out rule, so if I buy a new pair then I select one to toss.

I have 8 pairs. I had a cull recently.

I'm going to count in tomorrow. I think it's quite a lot.

OMG! 173 pairs! I think I have around 30 pairs. I actually thought that was quite a lot. Seems I was deluding myself. 😂

I don't! Haven't been away for more than a few days or a week for years, and that has been places I could do washing g if desperate.
If I suddenly found my self booking a 2 week holiday with no washing facilities I'd probably need to go shopping, for all types of clothes! But it's very unlikely to happen so for general home use a dozen pairs tops in regular use is more than ample. In fact I suspect I have less, but as I rarely get all my washing put away at once I haven't checked lately what is in the clean laundry mountain 😅. I do a load of clothes washing probably twice a week anyway.

Probably 60 pairs or thereabouts.

I do have some that are my favorite and on constant rotation. The others are part of a set or ones I bought thinking they would be comfortable, but actually are not.

As I have got older my body shape has changed and the style I used to like just don't fit that well anymore.

But I haven't the heart to part with them as I'm convinced I'll have a small pert bum again one day. 😂

I have those I wear every day, then certain ones under leggings. Nude colour for under white clothing etc.

I don't think 10 pairs of the same type would work for me as what I wear depends on my outfit.

I can't be bothered counting, but I imagine it would be fewer than 20, most of which are identical black boyshorts. I will only buy more if I throw some out.

In a good hotel, send stuff to the laundry. Knickers, T shirts etc come back the next day, nicely folded and like new. Keeps the packing down, and it's one if my favourite things about being away.

I’ve around 20 pairs of knix. I always buy 2 matching pairs when l buy a new bra and supplement those with others though. I strive to match but don’t always achieve.
