Who has been watching this?. I must admit I watched it out of interest rather than anything else. It was pleasant, it was like sinking into a Jacuzzi of warm water, bubbly, luxurious. But for me that’s where it ended. Watching Meghan tie up small bags of home-made bath salts for her friends visit, and then accompany them with shop bought pretzels, which she decanted into another plastic bag was….. enough. Oh yes, and the children’s gift bags….. with small sets of gardening tools, the cheapest of which I could find online was about £10, so well out of the way for any of us budget mums/aunts/grans. What do you think? Do you think she’ll have another series?…. Do you think “With love Meghan will fly” ? I’m just not sure what the point of it is ?. Everything she’s doing, others have done and better before. She’s a hugely wealthy woman, with not enough to do, showing us how she entertains her friends, amuses her children…… or is there more? Am I being unreasonable. If I am and you get the point of this syrupy, and I think frankly vacuous television , please explain it to me, I would value that explanation…….

You have misjudged. Reality was Brits and royal family and the world were delighted to have some diversity, a mixed race woman in RF and happy for Harry to have finally found someone .

As above, Meghan blew her chance to really BE somebody. As did Harry. Way she saw it is that Kate gave up herself to become William’s wife. Yes, it’s a job. A role. She’s the future Queen. Meghan was not fully prepared for royal life, granted. She didn’t get the memo. Which Harry must take the blame for.

Megxit, Spare, Oprah… The baby shower. And now her referencing The Tig & “who she really is”. She was a nobody, who has a golden opportunity to BE somebody. In hindsight, if they had seen COVID, maternity leave, the death of the Queen. If they hadn’t flounced… She could have been so much more!

When she took the shop bought pretzels and put them into a bag and put a ribbon on it I was like wtaf am I watching.

I've watched one episode and thought she was sweet but very uptight. I suspect she makes life very hard work with all the perfectionism, gets overwhelmed and passes that emotion on to her staff. I felt sorry for her doing the bees as she was so scared of them in her pristine gloves and suit. I've done a fair amount of bee keeping and cannot imagine doing it with fear. That takes a lot of courage but then marrying H wasn't a move for the faint hearted.

If I want to see someone cook, I will watch a trained chef. Likewise cars, WWII, experts in the field for stuff. Total joke and grifting.

I was just warning OP that some people might get snippy about there being several threads on the miniseries.

Oh fgs you couldn’t be further from the truth. Most people were delighted with Meghan joining the rf. It was the bad behaviour people didn’t like nothing to do with her skin colour.

I think she thought she'd be the same 'level' as Catherine in the RF and when she was firmly put in her place a few times she decided to become the Catherine of USA Royal fraction .... except that failed

Absolutely correct! People don't like the lies, the back stabbing, the self promotion, pretending to be XYZ, trying to be Diana 2.0, using other peoples' grief/hard work etc to elevate herself ... the list goes on ... and on and on

I've not watched it, but I do watch UK soaps and people ask me why, it's rubbish etc.
For me, its just pure escapism and probably the same for this programme , people who just want to forget the nasty things and watch something that isn't doom and gloom or may just like it's presenter.
At least she is working and trying different things out and making her own money.

We too have bees and agree with this she was openly scared still giving it a go clearly mesmerised by them but relying on the more experienced bee keeper.

I mean, Netflix have paid her for this crap, presumably knew exactly what they were getting, and have got it, looking at the ratings. They have also not had to pay for promotions, due to the British media doing the hard yards for them for free. It's cheap TV in relation to for example, putting on ' The Crown'. The actors fees alone were probably many times what they paid Meghan for this shite. She's making a living out of it, we're not paying for her to open supermarkets, win win in my book!
