New Ocado website

I know - first world problem - but does anyone else hate the new Ocado website? I have just used it tonight for the first time. The text size is very small and not as user friendly as the previous version. I've messaged Ocado but would appreciate any other comments from those who use the site? Thank you

Not helpful but I use the app. That’s not changed has it? I’m very unobservant

natalieplusone · 04/03/2025 20:23

Can you use the app ? I have no issues with the app. Xxx

QS888 · 04/03/2025 20:34

Thanks for the quick responses. I don't really use the app, but I've just been on, and I've had to download a new version. Text size and layout is better there.

The app had a change recently that I find annoying. When you go to edit your shop you just get a list rather than list with an image next to it. It's much easier to scan down and see what you have with the images. Annoying. (But, yeah, first world problems...)

KnickerlessParsons · 04/03/2025 20:37

You know you can increase the text size yourself, right?

Hi - no issues here with the app, its the new website I am frustrated with. I don't think you can increase the text size on the website, but I'd be delighted if someone knows how to do this !

Control button and the scroll button on your mouse.
You can zoom in and zoom out.

czigan · 09/06/2025 11:50

I hate it too! I can't see any improvements what so ever. Time to start deliveries from Waitrose I think.

Access features are located in your browser selections - not individual websites. The purpose of doing this is to standardise them, otherwise every website would do it differently and that leads to confusion and less accessible sites. Some older websites may not be aligned to current practice, but the move is towards this one standard system.

I like the new when your order is arriving feature - it's great to literally have it timed to the minute! The old system didn't always inform is there were delays (or early possible arrivals). So yesterday at 10 am my delivery was saying 14:23 but by 12pm it said 13:47 and that was literally the exact time it arrived. Live tracking is so much better. Means I am not hanging around thinking shall I do this or that, do I have time?

The new app is awful

YABU

CloudPop · 12/06/2025 14:39

One good feature - it shows you a more precise delivery time which is good.

BusyNavySheep · 25/06/2025 22:26

I am in agreement. The new website is awful. The original version worked 100% and was crisp and clear. The new version is clunky and just horrible. I have tried to live with the change for 3 weeks but I don't think I can adapt. Did message Ocado but they ignored the feedback. I can only assume that the project team are in denial and are patting themselves on the back for a job well done!

ShoutOutLucile · 25/06/2025 22:36

The app is awful. I’m so frustrated with it that I’m going to ask for a refund for my smart pass and switch to Sainsbury’s.

It’s so clunky. I was looking for a pie. Before you could filter and just look at ‘family pie’ bit now you have to scroll to the right section and even then they were all mixed up.

What is the point of shopping online if it’s more complicated rather than less?

My experience exactly. The old version was so much better ! and they've also ignored my feedback as well.

I’m hating the app small font i can’t zoom into it so keep having to get my readers out.

i also used it for one click but now it’s quick add so you have to click once on that then select how many you want. So quick add is slower!

still no one click (or ‘quick add’) on the website. I emailed them to check this and they replied.

babasaclover · 26/06/2025 09:39

It’s shit now and so is the new app 😡

Furball · 26/06/2025 13:46

Oh dear - I read this thread earlier thinking - I haven't noticed any difference!

BUT - have had an email this morning saying mine will be changing at the end of the month. - The old website was so easy to use, hope I can get on with the new, or may have to defect back to previous shop

EveryNowAndThen · 01/07/2025 20:39

I've only seen the new website in the last few days. I really don't like it so far - mainly because I can't see most of my order on the screen at once without scrolling. That overview was really useful and now I feel like I'm zoomed in on one section of it at a time.

AllBranEater · 01/07/2025 20:52

When I edit the order (if I have things in my basket before), it seems to just add the things in the basket rather than asking me if I want to add them (on the website). Is anyone else having the same problem?

FartyAnimal · 01/07/2025 20:53

The new ocado app is slow and clunky. Not impressed so far.

Yes. They have moved the 'add items to basket' icon so it is now very easy to accidentally click this which I do on the majority of occasions now. You have to be really careful where your mouse is when you log in to edit otherwise you you have added a whole load of nonsense into your shopping 😀

Furball · 02/07/2025 18:06

I am now forced into the new site - Its VERY tricky to use and VERY slow when adding stuff to or removing stuff from the basket. So you end up removing the wrong thing. It also didn't give me an offer when I clearly had everything it wanted of it. so took it out and put it back in again to get it.

Also when you look at your basket it tells you what the price is each, NOT with the offer price and also NOT times the quantity you have. So have I or not got the offer? - Where's my calculator - it shouldn't have to be like that 🥴

And I have 3 shopping lists - weeks 1, 2 and 3. But on the page is shown as Weeks 2,1,3 ? I have tried putting a dot before the week 1 to get it to shufty about , but no such success.

It aint great - and if going forward I am forced to do mental arithmetic every time, then I may just get Waitrose to deliver. Which is a shame as before 'all this' the Ocado site was a doddle to use.

abracadabra1980 · 02/07/2025 18:08

I just wish that we could have one that delivers around the North East!

JellyBabyToManual · 04/07/2025 22:06

Mine has had the changeover this week. Along with all of the irritations you’ve all had, they’ve whacked up the delivery charges! Has that happened to anyone else?
