What with all the scaremongering threads about prepping for war & a lady inspecting her dh trousers for bodily fluids 🤣 I spend far too much time doom scrolling & reading mumsnet. Just as I'm at that saturation point & I'm bored it all up pop another couple of threads to draw us back in

Exactly - Sunday nights, it's been like this for the nearly 20 yrs I've been a MNetter.

Though it wasn't as viper like back then, though posters still did fall out from time to time it was a lot more 'gentlemanly' (hate having to use that word but can't think of the one I want) & posters could have a good old disagreement, then kiss & make up & agree to disagree.

It does get far nastier now & I blame the times we live in.
And sometimes despair that many ordinary people can't think for themselves, believe everything they hear/see/read, can't think critically & fail to see that causing discord amongst the ordinary people is a time old trick that the rich & powerful use to keep 'the peasants' (that includes the middle class not just the working class) in their place.

Oh hark at me I'm turning into TracyKarlaMarx.

On a side note why does everything start to kick off circa the turn of the centuries & up to the following 20 - 40 years afterwards?
