To really hate the itvx app

Don't get me wrong. There is some good content on itvx. I just hate the app. When i want to watch a series from the beginning it thinks that i should be starting from the final series. If i do manage to watch a series from the beggining it thinks that i need to watch the last episode again. I can work every other streaming app easily..

I find it the most difficult streaming app to use. Okay it is free to use if you don't mind adverts. However i just expect it to work better.

In my experience the channel 5 app is far worse. It crashes all the time mid program.

I really like it especially as they're showing drama and crime series from overseas. Have really enjoyed what I've watched so far.

I can put up with the clunkiness though to get such good programmes.

I just hate that it's so incredibly slow and clunky to load. We've been rewatching all of unforgotten and in the end gave up on itvx and watched it through Netflix

There’s a way of skipping the adverts too

After the pre-programme ones, when the episode starts properly, fast forward to after the next ad break.
Then do it for the next ones and then back to the beginning

It’s a minute of faffing that saves watching all the crap

YANBU. It’s badly designed.

If I try to go back because I got distracted, it insists on playing a block of ads. Sometimes I get a rude message saying “you seem to be trying to skip the ads, this is how we fund our services”. Sometimes I get three blocks of ads before the show starts again.

I'd love it if it was free. Lots of stuff is premium or becomes premium for a while.

It plays ok til I get to the adverts, and then it tends to freeze. And re-starting results in sitting through all the adverts again

I recently upgraded to the ad-free service, it's quite cheap. I tried to sign in on the app on my Sony TV and couldn't make it work. Then I tried it on my Roku stick, and it worked beautifully. I've had problems with Prime Video cutting out on my TV so always get that via Roku. I think it's just my TV, must be 8 or 9 years old.

Now watching all of Morse!

I have no experience of the channel 5 app. The things i like to watch are on the bbc iplayer, itvx and netflix. Sometimes i use the sky go app too. Nothing on channel 5 has caught my attention.

Yes agree with you. Tried to watch the last 'Unforgotten' and finally managed it after 25 minutes! Makes us so cross.

I hate it because you can’t do ‘screen in screen’ or whatever it’s called when I watched it on my phone.

I have now deleted it and won’t use it any more. The worst streaming service by far.

Yep, just started watching on the app because I nissed the final unforgotten episode. At one point I watched the block of ads on repeat for about 10 minutes, and could only get out of it by restarting the episode. Sometimes the ITV xxXXXxx logo repeats too.
Perhaps it's a fiendish ploy to get us all to buy the premium service.

I even signed up for the free trial and what I was watching still came with ads. I would've started paying to finish my series without ads but can't do that. It's so clunky and slow compared to other apps

Definitely the worst. Also hate use of 'fresh'. Trying to be modern but is just crap. Ch 4 app easy peasy.

Urgh it's awful. Freezes all the time. So pleased that someone upthread has said that Unforgotten is also on Netflix, I really want to watch it now can't be arsed with all the faff that goes along with it

I was trying to watch vera from the beginning. The app thought that i should just watch series 14. I gave up before i ended up throwing something out of the window. I am glad that i taped unforgotten.
