To really hate the itvx app

Don't get me wrong. There is some good content on itvx. I just hate the app. When i want to watch a series from the beginning it thinks that i should be starting from the final series. If i do manage to watch a series from the beggining it thinks that i need to watch the last episode again. I can work every other streaming app easily..

I find it the most difficult streaming app to use. Okay it is free to use if you don't mind adverts. However i just expect it to work better.

I find this with itv X. However, I upgraded my broadband which was extremely slow and itv X has worked much better since then. It still takes you back to the wrong episode though.
I’m willing to put up with it because it’s free as I get fed up of paying through the nose for things.

We did have an issue where it would hang and die during an ad break. And then it was a faff to get back to where you were. Probably enduring two sets of adverts for the added pleasure too. I don't think I've ever found anything to watch on it! Partner rinses through some of the detective dramas.

I agree OP, it's awful!!! BBC iPlayer is so much better!

It would help to know which platform you are using it on. I find lots of them hard to scan/browse. With the iplayer, I sometimes use a laptop, trawl through listings and add to the watchlist, because otherwise I have no hope of ever finding anything.

It keeps freezing, then gives me a buffering message and says it’s the fault of provider. No, actually it’s only this platform that freezes. Too slow and clunky, and I hate Domino ads! Love Netflix and Disney+

I mainly use it on my phone as i like to watch old episodes of vera when i am doing housework. My phone is less than a year old and i regularly check for updates. Itvx crashes on my telly too.

It is AWFUL.

It constantly suggests I am not on wifi when I am. No other streaming app does that.

It often glitches at the end of the add break. No other streaming app does that.

It often reverts back to audio from the beginning of the programme whilst showing the correct visual after the ad break. No other streaming app does that.

It often forgets to offer the next episode. No other streaming app does that.

Virgin Media have "upgraded" us to a new remote & "improved" interface.

It's horrible. I wish I never accepted the "upgrade ".

Seems like a lot of people are talking about the content, not the app. The content is great (ads notwithstanding) the app is beyond abysmal. There’s little point in having abundant, varied content if trying to access it, without constant buffering, freezing, losing your place or “something went wrong” (my personal favourite, blaming the broadband when ever other device in the house works fine), is so frustrating it’s easier to just abandon all hope and watch something else on another service.
