DLA Waiting times 2025

Good morning, I am new to this.
I applied for Dla for my daughter in October 2024. Scan date 16th October 2024.
I caved in and called yesterday, told that someone has been assigned to her case now. Does anyone have a rough idea or similar situation as to how long a decision takes after being told this?

Hi , been reading through the thread and wondering has anyone received a payment that would be half original payment date award runs out ? This has happened to me this morning but have sent of my little boys renewal back in June with no correspondence from dla at all , worried this is a sign things have been declined and award stopped

Applied 28th March this year for CDP (in Scotland) - just been awarded today.

When was your renewal date it could be the last bit of the original award what rate was he on

Renewal date was 23/8 and it was exactly a 2 week payment that went in , his rates are MRC and LRM at the minute so hoping its just been the last 2 weeks of award paid out and new one hopefully starting, ive had no correspondence from dla regards renewal application , hoping they are just behind with applications, can't ring them until Tuesday as B/H Monday in N.I

Hi I have called DLA today the man said my renewal want be look at until the day it ends 13th of October

Yes rang them and he has been awarded same rates for the next 5 years , such a relief

That's good news I called today they are saying that renewal gets done on the day it ends so I don't know what to think with them

If the renewal doesn't get looked at until the award ends I don't have to think about it until Easter!! I'm hoping my son's award will increase because he is very high needs to the point he can't do a whole day of school and misses lots of days

no dont think so as they will only say it wont be done till around the time of renewal

Slightly different but I just got my CA payment in today after applying back in March, so 6 month ish wait.

no not yet i keep seeing some october dates so hopefully wont be long im nervous coz the only new evidence i had was a ehcp

You should hear within 3 weeks or so once you have a caseworker

Hi just want to ask if anyone has heard anything I sent renewal bk in arugust and up in nov 14

Did you eat anything back if so how long was it before your renewal was due to end
