I think it should be the guy from the first series of Bridgerton who left

Leo Woodall is so hot but kind of in a cheeky way - i don't think i can see him as Bond

I think it will be Idris Elba though

He's handsome - although maybe a bit awkward?

I don't find him in the least attractive. It's so subjective!

randomchap · 21/02/2025 13:40

Nicholas Hoult

Oh good suggestion. I'm going to throw Harris Dickinson into the mix although I don't know if Babygirl would have helped his cause.

I thought it be someone not so well known but now Bezos has got his grabby mitts on it I don't hold out much hope, it'll be asset stripped.

KatyaKabanova · 21/02/2025 13:43

Olivia Coleman. She's in everything else.

dontforgetme · 21/02/2025 13:44

@MooDengsFatRolls god I am absolutely fucking obsessed with Harris. Currently waiting for his Chicken Shop Date to land on YouTube. L

Teado · 21/02/2025 13:44

If they hire a fiftysomething to play Bond then they should hire middle aged women for the lead/baddie female roles too. Idris Elba (for example) flirting with a 24 year old Russian spy (or whatever) would be cringeworthy. Is it too much to expect that Hollywood has moved away from that though.

CanOfMangoTango · 21/02/2025 13:44

Uricon2 · 21/02/2025 12:37

Henry Golding. Might not see so much of his gorgeous smile as Bond but I think he would be interesting and right sort of age.

Definitely agree with this. Good call.

1457bloom · 21/02/2025 13:44

James Norton

lucindalucinsa · 21/02/2025 13:44

Idris Elba obviously

ScarletWitchM · 21/02/2025 13:44

I think with the new Amazon take over they should shelf Bond for a while and do more villain origin stories and do a double O origin story too. Similar to the what Marvel have done with the superheroes. Then bring Bond back in 10 years time

Olivia Coleman. She's in everything else.

They'll make her a villain or Q or something

Nicholas Hoult

Was just about to suggest him!

soupmaker · 21/02/2025 13:45

TruffleShuffles · 21/02/2025 13:34

Jack Lowden and he must use his Scottish accent.

The only sensible answer. Although I do love Idris.

Blueblell · 21/02/2025 13:46

I am afraid I think nobody should be the next bond. Well it would be a new 007 but I think it is over.

KingTutting · 21/02/2025 13:47

Jack Lowdon.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/02/2025 13:48

The guy that recently did Rupert Campbell Black has the right look Alex something

fussychica · 21/02/2025 13:49

Henry Cavill, no contest but it's bound to be someone totally inappropriate and American putting on a shite English accent now it's in the hands of Bezos.

MugsyBalonz · 21/02/2025 12:08

Idris Elba is too old now, they're going to want someone early-to-mid 30s so they can get some mileage from him.

I think Will Poulter or Richard Madden would be good in the role.

I misread that as Richard Madeley 😂

Brilliant! 👍

Strictlyshortly · 21/02/2025 13:52

I was going to say Sam Heughan, but sadly I think he's straying into 'too old' territory.

ManyATrueWord · 21/02/2025 13:54

Jonathan Bailey is my nomination. He does funny so well whilst being incredibly charming but also does straight brilliantly. I'd like to see him as an emotionally repressed Bond.

DalzielOrNoDalzielAndDontPascoe · 21/02/2025 13:56

Ant & Dec could do it together as a jobshare - outsmart the villains by splitting up in two different directions!!

DataColour · 21/02/2025 13:57

James Norton.

Agree his voice is a bit too gentle and mellow for Bond, but other than that, born for it.

Aaron Taylor Johnson gives me the ick.

Annoyeddd · 21/02/2025 13:57

Omar Sy (although he is french)

Lovelysummerdays · 21/02/2025 13:58

I reckon Idris Elba too. I watched him in hijack and thought that charm / sudden explosive violence would be a good fit.
