I think it should be the guy from the first series of Bridgerton who left

Leo Woodall is so hot but kind of in a cheeky way - i don't think i can see him as Bond

I think it will be Idris Elba though

Henry Golding. Might not see so much of his gorgeous smile as Bond but I think he would be interesting and right sort of age.

I have no idea. I'm just here to say that Idris is not too old. Roger Moore stopped playing Bond when he was 57. Idris is only 52

But the new Bond hasn't even started yet, and they'll want a few films from them. Idris is definitely too old.

James Norton for me, please.

Another vote for Theo James, although he is 40 so possibly too old already.

Idris Elba or Tom Hardy would have been great but that ship has sailed for them now.

PerambulationFrustration · 21/02/2025 12:50

Ah yes. Theo James would be great.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/02/2025 12:52

Rege Jean Page

Michael Fassbender with an English accent

Dick Dastardly.
With Muttley, of course.
😉😁😁.

Alfie from Emily in Paris. Reckon he’d give it some edge.

Worldgonecrazy · 21/02/2025 13:01

Henry Cavill. No contest!

bombastix · 21/02/2025 13:02

Honestly retirement seems like a good idea. Presumably this is why it's been handed over to Amazon now.

howyoufeeling · 21/02/2025 13:04

Theo James for me too!

Hazeby · 21/02/2025 13:05

I reckon 40 is the maximum age limit. You ideally want someone for 4 films minimum which will take maybe 10-12 years to get through?

Edited

Ooo I can see it

He has the right build for it as well, similar to the last jb

Of course it should be Henry Cavill! There's no other sensible choice!

blobby10 · 21/02/2025 13:08

I don't think the Bond films will ever be the same again - there's never been a previous Bond die like DC's Bond did so I think the producers knew it would be the last one. You can't stick to the format that made them such a brilliant franchise in today's world so lets just retire the films and let Amazon make something completely unrelated.

YouDeserveBetterSoAskForIt · 21/02/2025 13:11

Josh O'Connor would be great imo.

He would do the role justice without some of the cheesy elements others would bring.

houwseevryweekend · 21/02/2025 13:11

I see Stuart Martin bandied about in the Telegraph article today! It will have to be someone mid-late 30s so they can get a decades worth of films. They did say it wouldn't be anyone younger. I think if it were James Norton or Aaron TJ they'd have announced it by now as they've been in the running for years. Needs to be someone not a big name but with the chutzpah to carry the franchise - not an easy one!

I think Rupert Friend would be a good fit but not sure his Homeland appearance taints his publicity. Recently saw Max Irons on telly and he'd pull it off too I reckon - right age at 39.

Ooo mufasa, yes 😭😍

That's Aaron Pierre isn't it?

Aaron Taylor Johnson is the one in Kick Ass.

festivemouse · 21/02/2025 12:13

Aaron Taylor seemed unrealistic to me until I watched a few of his films - I can totally see it now!

Richard Madden? I feel like bodyguard was really good so could see him in that role.

Tom Hardy - venom style!

I definitely remember thinking that Richard Madden would make a great James Bond when I saw him in The Bodyhuard. He’d be a perfect fit!

handsdownthebest · 21/02/2025 13:22

Henry Cavill or Charlie Hannam
