To ask who you think the next James Bond should be?

I think it should be the guy from the first series of Bridgerton who left

Leo Woodall is so hot but kind of in a cheeky way - i don't think i can see him as Bond

I think it will be Idris Elba though

I like Idris Elba but I do worry he’s a bit over exposed now. Bond is supposed to have some mystique, be a bit of an enigma and I don’t think we’d get that with Idris.
There are plenty young gorgeous actors I’d love to see on screen any day but don’t quite have the gravitas for this role- Leo Woodall, Ryan Gosling.
Richard Madden might be too wooden as an actor but he is getting closer to the right look.
I think Aaron Taylor Johnson would be great.

On that basis I think it will be a relatively unknown actor but perhaps non British now Amazon have controlConfused

Idris was the best they'd ever get should have gotten the role ten years ago.

In the books he's also got jet black hair and blue grey eyes and it didn't stop them casting men with differing hair/eye colour throughout. Totally agree he's a man but other than that there's a track record of having some leeway.

Ian Fleming's Bond is meant to be well educated and a bit posh. James Norton has a first from Cambridge and one of the few suggested on here with an air of intelligence.
Would love to see Ben Whishaw in the role too. He's great in everything, and done lots of spy stuff. Unfortunate that he's played the gadget guy in Bond already though.

It's for crucial questions like this that the internet was invented.

Anyway. Bond the character is posh and Scottish (it's in the books) so the actor has to be capable of that. Which is why Roger Moore and the others were inadequate. My own choice is Don Cheadle: I would watch him do his laundry.

Scottish you say... how about the new Rebus, Richard Rankin?

I don't think Idris is too old, in fact I think he would be amazing. Hot as hell and a bloody great actor.
If not him I think James McAvoy would be great too.

Completely agree, gravitas is the word

Theo James for me has the gravitas for it, and the suave mystique
