To ask who is the biggest grifter you've seen?

I remember Anthea Turner punting flakes at her wedding. Carol Vorderman was always quick to front a financial product. Just seen Carole Malone on my timeline oiling on about weight loss jabs.

Any others spring to mind?

And that aside, she was actually in a relationship and living with a well known Toronto chef (Cory Vitiello) when she started dating Harry. Vanity Fair had to change the dates she gave in her initial 'Mad About Harry' interview when it became apparent that she was still living with Cory at the time!

I didn't know that (I have very little interest in Harry and Meghan, I neither idolise nor despise them) That is very grubby.

A woman who has set up an organisation to enrol clever career women (who are obviously vulnerable in some way) with a load of twaddle, like they are there to evolve the human race and they have a higher purpose in life. it's a cult. So bad they give their money to her scam and some have even changed their Wills in favour of the organisation. Can't say who in case I'm sued. But it's bad, very bad.

Can you give us a clue? I can think of 2 possible organisations… also Jessica Taylor - can someone explain that one to me?

It might be originally a US term but it's been in use in the UK for years before social media existed.

I’m so pleased her name has been brought up. Her claim that 50% of women have been raped in their sleep by their partner was a shocking one - until you realise her research was NOT academic led or peer reviewed - she sent out a survey to her followers to fill in. It’s absolutely disgusting that someone would try and make claims about abused women this way, knowing they don’t carry water at all, and tout it as hard facts. It’s a fucking insult to women who ARE abused that someone is trying to skew the figures. Vile woman

My point is the term originated in the US, and has not been in common vernacular in the UK which is evidenced by the amount of people mis-understanding it on this thread.

We would use the term hustler, swindler or con-artists as evidenced by the UK programme "Hustlers"
