My husband keeps touching my full face...WTF

Thankgodforwine · 15/02/2025 23:26

My husband randomly runs his hand down the front of my entire face.....he knows it annoys the fuck out of me ...but he keeps doing it. When I voice my annoyance/rage, he makes it out as if it's "me"problem.
He is a great guy and dad....amazing husband and provider but ...WTF, is it me or is this normal. For context and to avoid drip feeding, I'm not a fan of human contact...like hugging etc ...some may say I'm awkward...but a hand to the full face ...surely nobody likes this, also his hands are sweaty as fuck, no joke ...these hands are damp. Am I being unreasonable, please say I am not 🤣

He's honestly not intimidating he's just so annoying...I'm wondering if he's "premanopausal" 😂

Stop making excuses for his abusive behaviour because that's what it is ! Next time a punch to the balls is required !

Methuselahmaybe · 17/02/2025 18:43

He is obviously doing it on purpose because he knows it is something you hate so you need to raise the stakes with your response to something that will get his full attention and make the gaslighting less possible. It does not matter what the behavior is, you have said don't do it, he needs to respect that. Maybe it was normal behavior in his childhood home but that does not mean you have to accept it.

Smokesandeats · 17/02/2025 18:48

If you punch him in the balls he won’t do it again, I promise!

StopStartStop · 17/02/2025 18:59

randomly runs his hand down the front of my entire face

Ownership. Betting he reads those man pages.
You don't like it. He knows that. He still does it.
No respect for you. Deliberately proving he has no respect and can do whatever he wants and you can't stop him.

pestowithwalnuts · 17/02/2025 19:05

If you find it funny OP ..what are you whining about ?
Personally I find it disgusting..you don't know where the dirty pigs had his hands
Bite him if he does it again

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 17/02/2025 19:06

Do it back to him... just make sure you hand is grim. Like do a babies nappy, chop onions, pick up a dog poo, rinse the sink out... then rub your hand down his face.

napody · 17/02/2025 19:08

Did it work?
I saw on here a while ago a woman was seeing a guy who did this, and someone said it can be a porn thing, sort of smooshing your face as a sign of disrespect. I really hope it's not that and he's just irritating!

TheLurpackYears · 17/02/2025 19:11

My ex would do this to our dc. With the hands he'd been scratching his nuts with. Grim. It stopped when they were old enough to hurt him in response. Very instructions to stop didn't work. He also used to do a different thing to my face, verbal instruction to stop didn't work. Last time he did it was in a busy environment where I was was already a bit overwhelmed, I grabbed his hand so hard to get it out the way that he thought I was going to break his finger.

MaddestGranny · 17/02/2025 19:22

Well, to be annoying, I think it's one of those "it depends" things.
Depends on the intention behind it.
Depends how it's done.

Depends how you feel about it.
Depends on the dynamics in the relationship.
If someone, with love, stroked my face from top to bottom (direction matters) in a soft and loving way, accompanied by smiles & loving looks? I'd love it.
If someone stroked my face as if I was their pet dog/cat? I'd be v annoyed.
If someone persisted in a behaviour I'd made clear I disliked? I might poke them in the eye.

Or I might deliberately do something I know they, equally, dislike,
e.g. stroke/fondle some part of their anatomy when I know they don't like it.

JaneFoe · 15/02/2025 23:47

Nostril hair works too.

You both are overly nice. I'd punch him in the goolies or a nipple twist. Every single time.

Missj25 · 17/02/2025 19:28

“Intimidating “, “disrespectful “, “ breaking boundaries “ “ A deal breaker “ !!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 !!!!!!

I told him today if he done it again he was getting a punch to the balls ....he done it again a couple of hours later ...it's so weird. Obvs didn't punch him in the balls because I'm not evil lol

So your threats are meaningless and he feels completely safe to keep annoying you. Maybe you could offer him a kick on the shins instead of a punch in the balls. And do it. Another response might be to ignore the actions entirely, as you would an irritating child. Or ask him when he's going to grow out of this phase. He does it, I assume, for the fun of seeing you flinch. It's very childish behaviour.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 17/02/2025 20:02

Why don’t you tell him to get the fuck off you and mean in?

No joking or smiling. He’s over stepped your boundaries and continues to do so.

He has no respect for you.

FeetLikeFlippers · 17/02/2025 20:40

I just spent way too much time wondering what your face is full of when he does this, before realising you meant full as in whole! Then I decided it’s weird of him to keep doing something you’ve made it clear you don’t like. Start calling him Lionel (as in Richie, in the Hello video) and find something he doesn’t like (being kicked in the bollocks perhaps), do it repeatedly and when he complains tell him you’re only having a laugh.

IWillAlwaysBeinaClubWithYouin1973 · 17/02/2025 21:12

It doesn't seem like the OP is bothered at all - posts like this make me think did the OP just want something to chat about? Surely she didn't want any actual advice?

ErinBell01 · 17/02/2025 21:12

Somebody said that they'd slap him if he did this. Next time he does it stay very calm, look him in the eyes and say: You know I hate this, I've told you many times, but you keep on doing it. I don't know why you ignore my feelings, but I don't have to put up with it. So I'm giving you notice that the next time you do it I'm going to kick you/slap your face/grab your balls/punch your stomach. (Choose your preferred retribution). Hopefully he'll get the message.

Thankgodforwine · 15/02/2025 23:46

Loads ...we have been together 20+ years ..so other things I can deal with...but this I draw the line ...I just can't cope with it, it actually drives me insane

That's great. So YOU also know what HE doesn't like, you know his boundaries . That's excellent.
Go ahead and trample all over his boundaries too.
Enjoy.

Tit For Tat...
Eye for an eye and all that....

Have fun. Keep a sweet little innocent smile on your face while doing it too. Same as he does.

Any protests from him, well then, make it a 'him' problem.

Works wonders, this strategy

You just need to have the balls to carry it off.

Practice usually makes perfect, like it's done for him I suppose.

Member869894 · 17/02/2025 22:47

I would grab his little finger the next time he does it and yank it backwards. It's very painful

Lorrainedrops · 17/02/2025 22:59

I find a swift squeeze of a mans balls solves a reoccurring problem 😂 (joking)

Goodtogossip · 18/02/2025 10:34

Every time he does it kick his shin. I'm sure he'll soon stop.

Newschool25 · 18/02/2025 15:39

Has he taken it from a film called Face Off - John Travolta and Nicholas Cage? It was meant to be a loving act.

I don't think hitting him or kicking him is right. That's a very violent way of resolving. Get a spray bottle of water and spray him every time he does it. You can get little travel ones.

Tell him you're trying to train him out of it - like he's a cat.

Feel free to spray his crouch area too. Especially if he's just about to go out.

ShangaLangCleg · 18/02/2025 20:01

Find his trigger and do the same back. It works, it really does!
My ex used to do something he found amusing and I definitely didn't. It was so bad, lasting for years and could happen a few times a day, that I used to end up in tears at times. He still thought he was hilarious.
I searched for his trigger point for ages but failed, until Shazam, there it was! It turned out all I had to do was make a crack sound using chewing gum and he'd go insane. Within 5 minutes of finding his trigger, he was reduced to a quivering wreck, then a raging bull, then nearly crashed the car.
I'm so glad that he's now my ex 😁.

There's an easy solution out there if you can just find it! Good luck OP, and I hope he enjoys his education (aka payback).

He doesn't respect you and I'm not surprised, empty threat not followed through.

2JFDIYOLO · 19/02/2025 11:21

Have a bottle of the most powerful, stinky and cheap perfume to hand. (Pound shops ...) Every time he does it - squirt. He'll start to associate the pong with the action.

Swedemom · 19/02/2025 14:41

Take the cat/dog training approach: squirt him with a waterbottle every time he does it, followed by a stern NO! Nothing harmful but very annoying and a clear message.

Never make threats you can't follow through (punch him in the nuts or alike). Water bottle is very doable.
