I rescued him last year. I did health testing via a DNA sample as I have done with my other rescues in the past. It can give you an idea of what you might need to prepare for in the future.

Anyway, it also tells you the breed make up and turns out he is 82% poodle which does not surprise me.

WIBU to say he is a poodle when people ask about him? He looks like a poodle, acts like a poodle and turns out is overwhelmingly poodle...🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm just so acutely aware of all the doodle hate and judgement 😭

My cockapoo is infinitely more cocker than poodle. I just call her a knob as it is more descriptive 💀

Not facts, your opinion. There is a big difference between puppy farming, and someone breeding 2-3 litters from a bitch that happens not to be KC registered e.g. not all sheepdogs are KC registered, but farmers will breed a litter or 2 from a bitch who has proven to be a great working dog.

You tarring every person who breeds a non-KC registered litter as a puppy farmer IS unfair, and purely your opinion!

I actually didn't say that. I said dispeputable, unethical breeders and backyard breeders, not puppy farmers.

Good working sheepdogs are dual registered with the KC and ISDS. I have three.

Every person who deliberately breeds crossbreeds/mongrels is unethical. It's not an opinion. The people who defend them and buy puppies from them are even worse, as they keep them going. Liken me to Trump all you want to - it won't change the fact that I am one of the people who actually care about the welfare and future of dogs. Unlike people who buy Doodles.

I'd love to get it DNA for my dog, She is a rescue, springer spaniel, classic brown and white, my only doubt, if she is a full springer spaniel is her very short match stick legs and longer body head to tail than other springers.

A Poodle cross is what he is. I can't be arsed with anyone that makes up what 'breed' their dog is. (Cocker Poos and all the other designer crosses are not breeds to anyone thinking they are btw)

Well, yes, I am. My opinion is shared by anyone who works at improving breed standards and breeds ethically.

It doesn't matter what you call them they are lovely dogs and we get lots in our local pub. They are very popular.
