To say that Craig David is the best vocalist in the UK?

Saw CD in Milton Keynes last night and his voice was of incredible - of angelic perfection. It was incredible to hear him live. I read today that Elton John said in 2013 that he thought CD had the best voice in the UK.

Just can't stop thinking about how good CD sounded last night!

Florence Welch is the one that got me. To my ears she is screechy as it the Queen B. Not keen on Adele's voice either though Rolling in the Deep was excellent.

It's okay to show enthusiasm for things you like guys! Nothing to be ashamed of. It doesn't make you appear 'simple minded.' I shouldn't have to back myself up by saying Elton John likes CD too so that makes it okay. Even if EJ didn't like CD, and I didn't know he did until after the gig yesterday, I still thought on Friday night that it was the best live singing I had ever heard, and I've been to many many gigs, guys. I used to love indie music and have seen so many indie bands, punk bands, rock bands, pop bands. There was just something about the gig on Friday that touched a part of my brain, as another poster put it so eloquently, that felt like heaven. The end!

I didn't know about that but I never watched Bo Selecta. I think Craig David has a very good voice and seems like a good guy.

Or maybe it’s because he’s creepy? The Bo Selecta character was funny not creepy.

I saw a documentary with him and Fern Cotton and the way he treated women was gross.

I'd never heard of him. I perused his catalog on Spotify. He sounds like a standard 90s boy band singer - like he could have been in Boyz II Men

I think Cynthia Erivo is something special, but I wouldn't go so far as to say the best vocalist in the UK.

Thanks all for your comments on this thread, there was actually a lot of love from many of you for CD, hopefully he realises how appreciated he is by the British public. In the meantime, my three young kids have been picked up from school every day this week by a middle aged woman playinng old garage music at top volume! Peace x
