You're correct. There isn't any proactive gender reassignment surgery going on in the US. It's all fabricated to stir up the conservative voter base. This whole thing stems from Elon Musk's son, now daughter, Vivian, who at 18, having suffered from acute gender dysphoria her whole life, had both her parents sign the surgery papers. Musk had been aggressive and bullish to her throughout her childhood, shouting at her for showing any girlish behaviour. Musk was also a very absent parent and she ceased all contact with him in 2022 I believe. Then Elon posts 'Run trace woke mind virus' or something like that on X because his autistic brain actually believes Vivian was 'infected' with some actual liberal brain virus and he doesn't have the cognitive ability to accept that maybe he has been a massive part of the problem as a shitty parent. So instead of feeling guilt and taking responsibility, he concocts this bonkers fake news shite about gender surgeries everywhere. And as Vivian's estrangement from him has continued, he's gone further and further to the neo nazi right within his own self created echo chamber on X. Sam Harris has called him out on his behaviour repeatedly.
So no, gender surgery is a myth, bar those who have substantial evidence to prove they have acute dysphoria, or were born with both sets of sex organs and want to align to one gender.
But.....all of this crap is to distract Americans from the actual problem of your oligarchy. A set of predominantly white men now hold more than 60% of the US entire GDP. That wealth could solve social, health, educational and environmental issues overnight. But do they share the wealth? No!!!!!! Of course they don't!
So don't get swayed into arguing about gender, woke, alt right, climate change v denialism, BIPOC or LGBTQ+ with online trolls. Because those oligarchs will have got you exactly where they want you.

Blocked and Reported covered the Harvard study. If you Google it, the headline comes out covering the main headline, but there are some critiques of it as the surgeries for gynocomastia are included (main focus is top surgeries to remove breasts rather than orchidectomies)
