Bit of a boring one I guess. I'm gonna get the snacks in for me and dd as the coverage starts at 3.30/4pm (UK obs)

I love to watch stuff like this, makes me feel connected to the world 😅🙈

Plus I wanna see if anyone slips up and let's their face show their real thoughts

Plus I'll be making comparisons between barron and Gary barlow's giant son

Yes I will. So glad to get rid of the women-hating, children mutilating Dems. I didn't feel this way the last time but I do think Trump is badly needed now.

The "pussy grabber"???? Really???

Elon has a very weird tick.

Elon has autism and ADHD so he will tick/stim.

Arraminta · 20/01/2025 19:30

Must admit I felt my shoulders drop when he pointed out there are only 2 genders. Which, of course, there are.

Let’s hope that it crosses the Atlantic.

Interesting the bit about employing people on merit not race or colour of skin.

Gogogo12345 · 20/01/2025 19:38

Nope no interest whatsoever

I’m american and no way would I watch the shit show inauguration. Trump is a sick perverted raping thieving pig, not interested in seeing his ugly face.

Totally brainwashed by your pernicious democrat party. How do they explain attending and clap, clap clapping along at the inauguration of a "racist", "fascist" president I wonder? Surely history will not judge them kindly? 😁

Davros · 20/01/2025 19:43

Loved it, so bad, so naff. It was still better than the Paris olympics opening ceremony.
Where was Judd Trump? 😹 🎱

Rewis · 20/01/2025 19:43

All I could think was that american politicians are damn old. Watching Biden making his way out the door. Chuck Schumer shakig hands and Bernie Sanders looking grumpy. I was reading earlier about Anthony Fauchi being pardoned and thought to myself how come these people are not retired from their positions. I do respect experience but some of this was just crazy.

SomethingSScintillating · 20/01/2025 19:47

Wow that was an inauguration and a half.
We will rarely if ever see anything like that again.

I'm very interested to know if he speaks off the cuff? He had a huge day yesterday and the actual inauguration speech was v good as speeches go and aside from Panama it was tight.

He looked at one point like he was reading it but then turned his head?

Then we get the rambling again for for "fans*.

I've said it before and on saying it again, America loves a preacher!

Thing is, it’s the Democratic Party who waved Trump into office. Had they not allowed a clearly unwell man to remain as president for so long, only having him stand down after a shit show campaign, which then prompted a quick last minute pushing forward of the unlikeable Harris, Trump might not have won the election. Don’t the Democrat supporters on here feel any anger about that? It’s said that his staff, and senior advisers, were all but doing the work and making decisions on his behalf for at least a year beforehand. If his team had had the best interests of the Americans at heart, they would have flagged that he was not fit to lead the country over a year before the election, and could have got someone else, liked by the party and the Americans, into a position of leading the democrats in the run up to the election. If I was a democrat supporter I would be beyond pissed off at the lot of them. .

I think it was, which is bloody impressive

I can't imagine any other politician able to do that tbh, other than obama and maybe Boris(🙄)

Edited
Then again, he is talking shite so maybe thats it

Completely agree

I hear kamala is pissed off as well - it's so clear that the dems knew she wouldn't win

The dems should've been proactive and they weren't, which begs the question of why???

The Paris Olympics did have hot Tony though!

No hotties on show today I'm sorry to say!

@IcedPurple too true, I forgot that

Reagan was a natural story teller as was Kennedy. I guess some people prefer precis

fixingmylife · 20/01/2025 20:00

Just heard a live broadcast of Musk addressing rapturous crowd in Washington. He actually gives me chills. I think he's so dangerous.

He’s reading the room of younger generations that are the future of the country and have been shafted by the boomer generation at every opportunity.

Save the right wing propaganda, some of us look for results not internet campaigns and we will wait to see what the new Labour government does and what future they can make for us out of this disaster capitalism.

What do you mean shafted by the boomer generation?

BoredZelda · 20/01/2025 20:03

Hearing him talk gives me a physical visceral reaction.

He is a dangerous man, the world is on a dangerous knife edge right now. The next 4 years (and beyond) will see many changes and few of them will be good.

I hope with every fibre of my being that I am wrong. Because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

SomethingSScintillating · 20/01/2025 20:04

@BoredZelda perhaps we don't know but the hammas deal has been largely credited to trump.

no, not in my experience

SomethingSScintillating · 20/01/2025 20:07

I'd love to know if Trump talks like this day to day.
Melania must have had enough!!
Does he speak normally at dinner parties? At home??
