Just that really!! Inspired by thinking if I could afford to move abroad. I suppose age helps as well as you’d expect to be worth more the older you are!!

Seriously depressing about 1k if im lucky.

PicturePlace · 17/01/2025 23:13

About £400k

Sheaintheavyshesmymother · 17/01/2025 23:14

Catza · 17/01/2025 21:20

41 - around 200k. I guess by "everything" you mean property and such, not my collection of sponge bob socks and an odd vibrator.

What’s so odd about the vibrator?

mitogoshigg · 17/01/2025 23:15

@Blondiebeachbabe

It's not that difficult and they are not liquid assets. £500k house, £800k in pension pots, savings & premium bonds, cars, £10k's worth of jewellery. In reality we need to live somewhere, it's median priced for area, the pension pots are basically at their maximum as dh retires soon, he's inherited from his parents so nothing more to come his side, I do have my parents and unless expensive care needs stand to inherit but hopefully a ways off! What you have in your our age will then start to go down from next year

About £400k

I'm early 40s, by the way. And I haven't included my pension, which is substantial.

JimHalpertsWife · 17/01/2025 23:15

We have about 70k equity in the home, maybe 5k for the car?

Is selling kids allowed in this scenario? What about kidneys?

Catarinabella · 17/01/2025 23:16

About £10 if my rescue dog is included but would never sell. Bring on the stealth/wealth boasts

Freeasabird76 · 17/01/2025 23:16

I'm 48 😟

Frillysweetpea · 17/01/2025 23:17

What's the point of this thread? MN has a diverse socioeconomic reach - so what?

qazxc · 17/01/2025 23:17

46, under 2 thousand. I have about a grand in the bank, don't own property or a car. So after you sold my belongings second hand ( electronics and white goods) you probably would end up with below 2K. If the question is how much would I leave behind If I died today, I have a life insurance of 100K. So I am worth much more dead than alive ( money wise).

pavillion1 · 17/01/2025 23:18

3 billion give or take

TraitorLinda · 17/01/2025 23:19

Personal wealth
A smidge under 2M in pension and property age 50

daffodilandtulip · 17/01/2025 23:20

Nosleeptheo · 17/01/2025 21:58

Looking at everyone's comments and feeling very under achieved in life if I sold everything I own even the car etc I'd probably not have more then 20p to my name ngl and I'm 32. I best get my life in order sooner rather then later

We all end up in the same place though.

DecemberTulips · 17/01/2025 23:20

About 20Millions

....
.....

Not pounds, actual Millions.. the little sweets, I found em in the sofa..

I'm very poor.

mondaytosunday · 17/01/2025 23:21

Sell everything and cash in investments:
Approx £3m. I'm 62.

SapphireSeptember · 17/01/2025 23:22

Not much at all. I don't own anything except the stuff in my flat, and no one wants a load of second (or third) hand shite.

Anyotherdude · 17/01/2025 23:22

Around £875.000

HellofromJohnCraven · 17/01/2025 23:22

Erm I'm 56.
House about £600k Savings about £45k. Don't have stuff. Car £1500!
Have £75k in pension savings but some final salary ones that would cash out at £350k?
So in theory about £1m. But I'd have to house, feed and clothe myself for the rest of my life on that if I cashed it in to move abroad (OK I might get some uk state pension in 10 years time.
My great grandmother lived to 97!

ChocoChocoLatte · 17/01/2025 23:24

49 - fuck all

forgotmyusername1 · 17/01/2025 23:26
  1. About 1.5mil if including pension
catcafeatno10 · 17/01/2025 23:28

House - £6.5m
Flat - £600k
Businesses, investments - £15-£20m
Pensions - 2x£1m

52 and DH 54.

Florally · 17/01/2025 23:31

This thread is so pointless… unless the point is to make some people feel bad?

Anyone could write Anything! I’m currently worth 8 million and am planning to retire age 40 to our home in Europe 😅

Or, I have nothing and I could scare up 500 pounds.

What are you hoping for OP?

Oldenpeculiar · 17/01/2025 23:32

My pension is £7000, that'll last me about 15 minutes when I retire.
Car about £1500, actually £1580 as its got a full tank of fuel. But I owe that on it (private loan thankfully, not finance) and paid £3000 for it 2 years ago but that's what it's valued at now.

Everything else I genuinely don't think anyone would pay anything for, all second and 3rd hand and used to death, except maybe the booze bottles collected over the last few years from presents because I don't drink, possibly £150.

I'm not worth much financially at all, but I'm healthy with supportive family, a few great, close friends, and although not paid much, a job I like for a good company run by decent people. I'm able to have my dogs which I'm incredibly grateful for and my DD is on a better life course than me, currently in her last year in university.
ETA - 45.

whatthedickens5 · 17/01/2025 23:33

£718 000 aged 47. All by luck as I bought a house in the SE that's doubled in value in 8 years. I also know my figures are correct as I've been getting my ducks in a row to move abroad in the next couple of years. UK is far too bloody expensive for my liking.

LakieLady · 17/01/2025 23:34

About £500k for the house and £50k in savings. I'm 69, and fully expect it all to go on care home fees.
