Greasy hair

Dd is 9 and has really greasy hair, even as soon as it's been washed it still looks greasy.
I use conditioner because I always have on my other 3 and myself so I'm wondering if that's the wrong thing to be doing but she's the only one with this hair type so I don't know how best to manage it.
Hopefully someone can give me some advice.
I've tried washing less frequently and more frequently but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
It's mainly the roots.

@Givemecoffee77 Are you easily finding the Extraordinary Clay shampoo and conditioner? I’ve been using both for years with great results but suddenly it’s really difficult to find in the shops.

I know what you mean. I usually get it in Morrisons.

Are you sure it's dandruff and not another scalp condition? I have psoriasis and if it's flaring up and I'm scratching it my hair gets greasy quickly. I use semi di lino dandruff shampoo and it has my psoriasis under control and my hair doesn't get greasy as quick . The condition of her scalp is probably the root of the problem

I'm fairly sure it's dandruff it started as cradle cap as a baby and is now mild flaky scalp but it's not that obvious just tiny flakey bits in the roots.

I have similar hair and I never use conditioner.

A good clarifying shampoo every now and again works wonders. Baby shampoo is a good substitute.
