I've got terminal cancer and we're looking for an Airbnb or cottage that will sleep 12 people for a last hurrah. In September

We're all in the northwest and would like to go to the north east or Scotland for a long weekend or a week.

Sleeps 12, 2 of which are children and siblings, everyone apart from the family of 4 are in couples.

Please help me!

So you need 6 bedrooms- one for each couple and one for the kids.

what kind of location ? Secluded, town, both, seaside?

Yes please. I think a couple would be ok with isolated but ideally near a pub. To be honest I just need to look at different property options for an idea of where to start.

Would you get the ferry over to NI and drive to the north coast?

6 bed, sleeps 12, close to beach, kids play park, shops, pubs. Quiet wee village called Ballycastle. £2K for 5 nights in September. Good reviews.

Craggan Mill is fab but very far north!

Salen pier holidays on the island of Mull. Right on the waters edge on the Sound of Mull, various accommodations including right on the old Salen pier which is incredible. The main house sleeps 14 I think, in 7 bedrooms .

We stayed here near Perth in Scotland. Fanstastic, great communal space, wonderful scenery. We got a private chef from a great restaurant to come and cook one night (dining room seats 15). If you decide to go here, or somewhere nearby I'm happy to send you the details of the private chef.
