To think Elon Musk has gone nuts

What on earth is going on with him. Calling for Nagel Farage to resign. Now wanting the PM to resign amd said we have a tyrannical government. It's all a bit odd.

He's being heroic over the grooming scandal.

I think it's genuinely sickened him which is a normal response

Heroic 🙄. He only cares about his own power and advancement.

He's what happens when you don't tax the rich. Let's start a list of all the nice and rational billionaires:

  1. Erm ...

Although I agree with you about taxing the rich, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation has supported a lot of worthy projects, so it is possible to have a lot of money and not turn out like Musk and co.

Sasskitty · 06/01/2025 19:02

Allegedly he donated untold millions to the reform party. Allegedly he going to try for uk citizenship as his grandparent was British.

You've got that wrong.

AnonymousBleep · 06/01/2025 19:28

He hasn't gone nuts, he's just a nasty, power-crazed idiot who wants to run the world.

And a total bellend.

Almn0etd · 06/01/2025 19:29

Yeah so nuts that he is part of the most powerful government in the world.

It almost comical watching randoms on the internet passing judgement on mega powerful people who literally run their lives and influence virtually every aspect of the world they live in. And then feeling all superior and smug as though they are smarter than the mega powerful.

Must be denial or something.

hihelenhi · 06/01/2025 19:29

He's always been nuts.

He has also always been a total bellend. Loose cannon.

Whatever good works his foundation may do, Bill Gates is not an example of a good guy.

Yes this is what I think too. Ditto the comic book villain / Bond villain comments.

I think he is a massive narcissist. I think he's realised, like Trump and Farage, that it's easy and fun to spout absolute bullshit that will get the uneducated masses baying in support.

The way he's treated women is narcissistic too. Reels them in then buggers off and takes their babies away (in the case of Grimes) whilst impregnating someone else at the same time, and now wants all his baby mommas to live together on some kind of concubine compound.

With Grimes, wasn't he using her frozen embryos without her consent? I presume he used a surrogate to actually give birth.

Disgusting misogynistic freak of a man.

justasking111 · 06/01/2025 18:24

I've only just caught up with the headlines. Absolutely nuts. Trumps team need to distance their potus now.

Haha. They're two peas in a pod.

You've got that wrong.

Oh? Tell me what’s wrong?

WiddlinDiddlin · 06/01/2025 19:31

Yup, he's always been absolutely raving -when you're that rich you can get away with it. Just now he is getting more and more power to play with, it is becoming more evident to more people. But it wouldn't really matter now if the entire world knew he was a total fruitloop, I doubt anyone could stop him.

AnnaL94 · 06/01/2025 19:31

He’s always been nuts. But his level of influence over a lot of small minded and radical people is really worrying.

He’s very very book smart. But has absolutely no understanding of politics and social issues. Which is a dangerous combination.

hihelenhi · 06/01/2025 19:32

Erm, people in powerful governments ARE often nuts.

See Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Henry VIII, Caligula etc.

The "being in powerful governments" thing doesn't make someone automatically non-nuts. Quite the opposite, if the history of world leaders is anything to go by.

Are you going to claim we're all "jealous" of Elon next?

justasking111 · 06/01/2025 19:33

Anyone remember a weather man called David Icke. Watching the headlines showing the tweets this evening. I was reminded of him

SensibleSigma · 06/01/2025 19:33

Pigeon31 · 06/01/2025 19:18

He's not very motivated by free speech when he bans people off Twitter for criticising him.

Who? I haven’t seen that. The last I saw he was happy to get into a ding dong with anyone. Fewer people being banned than used to be was my last impression.

Anonym00se · 06/01/2025 19:33

He’s nuts, he’ll move onto someone else next week. He’ll probably tweet in shock to discover that Germany invaded Poland and call for the US to declare war on the Germans. He’ll believe it’s ground-breaking news.

CheeseTime · 06/01/2025 19:33

I’ve never forgotten when those Thai children were stuck in a cave for days and many clever experts were quietly working through the options for rescue then Musk tried to muscle in with a whacko terrible idea for a sort of submarine pod thing and irritated everyone and wasted their time.
Megalomaniac is right:

He was a footballer and sports commentator, not a weatherman.

But yes, another guru type.

soupfiend · 06/01/2025 18:35

What is he prescribed ketamine for?

He'll get ketamine bladder

'Low mood.' And yeah he'll end up with Ket bladder.

Sunshineandoranges · 06/01/2025 19:34

Surely every row he starts makes money for him on X. People should boycott X and reduce his wealth and power.

lifeonmars100 · 06/01/2025 19:35

mad, bad and dangerous to all and don't get me started on that barrel chest and the waxen face...

OneLemonDog · 06/01/2025 19:35

Longma · 06/01/2025 19:18

But he isn't really is he,
It's almost certainly because of the colour of most of the men involved in these gangs.

He was happy to allow Tate to have a platform.
He's happy to stand with Trump.

His stance on the abuse of woman hasn't changed really.

What! I assumed he was a man of deep principles.

Thats a shame, I'd thought his sudden interest in inquiries aimed at stopping child sexual abuse also meant he/X were going to stop blocking the Austalian Government's inquiry into X's policies for tackling it.

I guess he's rich enough to keep absorbing the fines for non-compliance.

This doesn't make any sense. Why would people feel smug at criticising Elon Musk for having too much control of their lives? Most people don't think him having too much control of their lives is a good thing. Why would they? He's never been elected to any kind of power. He's not even smart. He's just got lots of money because he started off being given a diamond mine by his daddy, which gave him a headstart over everyone else.

R053 · 06/01/2025 19:35

LastTrainsEast · 06/01/2025 19:07

Assuming by behaviour you meant him speaking then the nice thing is that it doesn't have to qualify as reasonable to anyone. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You know you can go on X and tell him you have a different opinion right? They don't cancel people for that now he's in charge.

In fact that's one reason some people hate Musk. They say if he won't silence people they don't like that means he agrees with that person in every respect.

Didn’t he recently silence Laura Loomer on X because she disagreed with his views on visas for educated immigrants? So yes, he does cancel people.

He throws even his fellow right wingers under a bus when it suits. Nige is the latest target to be cancelled.
