Elon Musk and Racism

1000 replies

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 03/01/2025 20:36

Inspired by the other long running thread. I keep reading that he tweets and retweets racist comments. Can anyone link any or all of them please? I see tweets over illegal immigration, as opposed to immigration, but not racist?

So instead of opinions please can people post the actual words used or retweeted? Or anything he said in interviews, word for word?

Thanks!

Can't make sense from nonsense, people. Utterly pointless to engage, it just indulges them. Nauseating faux naivete on show here throughout thread so expect nothing better.

If you don't think any of that is racist, then that tells us everything we need to know about you. It is literal racism

No. It’s not.

you tell me how you think any of those cases were actually racist ?

What mask?!

In relation to the smear, which you have still not justified, I can't find the editorial about Soros, I can't remember what it was called and I didn't save it, I watched it well over a year ago, but this is the interview from the 1990s which the editorial quoted from. The title of the youtube video is, I think, clickbait - it is a 60 Minutes interview and he talks openly and candidly about a number of issues including the issue I summarised - so, here he explains in his own words, and you will see that there has been no smear on my part.

Poor MonkeyVBunny just has to espouse her hatred and disgust at another race, then support people who advocate the racial superiority of the “White” race and she has to be simply blind and not recognise that what they have said is deeply Xenophobic and people call her a racist.

It is the flavour of the month for all the wokes. Why will people not leave her alone?

Everyone that has concerns about the mass rape and torture of girls is labelled far right these days. If that is what the left has come to, then that is what will bring Farage in.

Calling people bootlickers and bendovers says much more about you than your dating profile ever will.

This is utterly disingenuous. Don't conflate the rape of young girls with being cheerleaders for Elon and Tommy. Read that sentence. If Elon cared about women, he wouldn't fraternise with the felon Trump. Are you seriously trying to convince anyone that Tommy Robinson cares about the rape of young girls. Frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself.

FancyRedRobin · 08/01/2025 19:43

I wonder why they chose this one specific issue out of all the issues that women face/encounter?
This one rather than the many many others e.g. reproductive rights, workplace rights, global access to education etc.

It's almost like there's something about this issue that is almost "helpful" to their agenda.

FancyRedRobin · 08/01/2025 19:51

And what the h*ll are the Tories playing at, asking for a new enquiry when they already did one that they ignored.
Trying to hide their own lack of action..AGAIN!

There isn't a bandwagon they won't get on. They really are a load of spineless toadies.

Now is the time to get the original recommendations acted on and for the implementation of those to be front and centre and reported on publicly! That's the accountability I want.

Serpentstooth · 08/01/2025 22:02

Farage. Praising ace misogynist and degrader of women Andrew Tate and excoriating Jess Philips whose work speaks for itself. Farage, newly minted defender of the right of women and children to remain unmolested by random men. Farage, deeply offended by foreign interference in British politics, unless its by Elon when its absolutely essential and absolutely fine. Hypocrisy really doesn't cover it. This lot deserve a whole new vocabulary.

raincoatwarmcoatlongcoat · 09/01/2025 10:37

I know I said I was backing away, but I did infact watch the video again and read the article someone posted so will be commenting when I get time.

In the meantime I would like to just point out to the last four posters and to Pandora that you seem to be trying to discredit other posters simply because they don't agree with you. So you don't say "I disagree with you and this is why" you instead try to discredit them. It is ironic that you get upset about "horrible smears", while making horrible smears yourself against innocent fellow posters. And against high profile people while accusing them of making smears. It isn't a very positive or adult way to deal with conflict.

The issues they referred to were about safety for children - boys and girls - and also about other wider legal and consitutional issues. The situation is dire on many levels. But there is not point going into that unless "people" are prepared to have a proper discussion, and cut down on the mindless discrediting.

Some of the survivors feel the same way abput Musk et al as some of us on this thread:

Three of the letter’s signatories – Holly Archer, Joanne Phillips and Scarlett Jones – are survivors of the grooming scandal in Telford. All three use pseudonyms. The other four signatories – Julie Devey, Carole Gould, Emma Ambler and Nour Norris – have lost a female relative to gender-based violence or have suffered domestic abuse.

In their response to Musk, coordinated by the campaign group Killed Women, the women said that those who “weaponise our pain for their own ends or political gain” should “hang their heads in shame”.

so thats every politician ever as well then?

FancyRedRobin · 09/01/2025 12:06

Nope not every politician has specifically weaponised these cases.

Also Musk has specifically targeted Jess Philips:

"Their intervention came after Musk, the billionaire Tesla boss who is in line for a senior role in Donald Trump’s administration, posted on his platform, X, that Phillips should be jailed and called her a “rape genocide apologist”."

He's using women. Everyone on this thread thinks that child sexual abuse is horrific and should dealt with, and victims supported. The only point of disagreement is whether Musk and his ilk are allies in this, and given the man's character and history, there's a lot of us who are doubtful.

FancyRedRobin · 09/01/2025 12:14

And also me myself personally, I'm sick of male politicians/prominent men taking up "women's issues" as a way to support their other views or impinging on women's issues like access reproductive care.

The actual luxury of being able to pick up and put down these issues because they will never be personally affected. No skin in the game so they treat it like a game.

Why on earth do we give a sh*t about anything they say and think on these matters, I don't know. We should inform ourselves about our issues and hold our politicians to account, instead of being manipulated by others.

what specific character and history are you referring to exactly?

Seems like the only way to do something about all these issues is to shout like a bastard. I have zero qualms with anything he has said, she he has said it about. I genuinely believe our culture is at risk by too many people wringing their hands and doing fuck all and I'd like it to stop.

Actually, I don't think he is specifically a racist. He doesn't need to be. He's a supremacist. He thinks almost everyone is unintelligent, inferior and unworthy of consideration or empathy.

Those who aren't inferior include himself and anyone else who usefully agrees with him at the time.

If he's against a race, it's the human race.

MonkeyVsBunny · 09/01/2025 12:27

That doesn't bother me in the slightest. It was a stupid childish comment. we all make those all the time. I just don't care.

yes that's Autism. Quite a few of us have a note. So does he. He just so happens to have changed the world three times and counting and is the richest person on the planet. Can't be al wrong all the time can he.

MissHollyGolightly · 09/01/2025 12:40

Haven't been able to read the entire thread but he posts comments and info that has a strong racist slant IMO. For example here he says "Wow" in response to a wild claim that half of all Somali men have been caught and charged with a violent crime. https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1876588543558238566
Whether that is true or not (pretty sure it is not - are 3 in every 100 Oslo men really committing violent crimes too? That would be remarkable in any country.)
So I read it as racist to remark upon an ethnic group's involvement in crime, via made-up statistics, and disregarding entirely their circumstances and instead pinning it on where they come from.
Update: I just did some light fact checking and the numbers are utterly ludicrous and made up.
