I think it would set very clear guidelines. Anyone who works with children & the vulnerable needs to receive police clearance & safeguarding training, that is the law. Why were so many women & children failed ?
If those who breach those guidelines (by failing the vulnerable they are paid to protect)face prosecution for not fulfilling their job description, they will do their jobs correctly & roles will only attract those who are fully up to the job.
Those that understand their roles & job description is to protect the abused not the abusers!
Surely this should be a very basic requirement in such an important & challenging position?
