‘D’ P farting while he’s prepping food

He’s in the kitchen chopping meat and just let out 2 enormous farts (and quite deliberately, not like there was nothing he do about it)- doesn’t care and doesn’t think it’s a big deal. He’s in the kitchen prepping food,
Am I being unreasonable to not want to eat with him now. I find when he does this sort of thing that it’s so disrespectful and just unpleasant.

I fart all the time, always have. I don't/can't burp so I feel I fart double the amount. It wouldn't be possible for me to leave the room.

If I was going to be offended by farting ( which I'm not ) I think I would be more offending farting in bed rather than copping food.

Just to clarify, I do both. So does DP.

@mrstinsle I can’t burp either and fart twice as much as anyone else :D

We always used to call them trumps when I was growing up - maybe a regional thing. Makes sense as it is basically a trumpeting-like sound, which archaically used to be contracted to just 'trump'.

I remember my surprise when I first heard folk from the north west talking about 'having a brew' and asking others if they would like one - I was both relieved and a bit disappointed when I realised that they were just talking about a cup of tea!

During recent years, for fairly obvious reasons, ‘trump’ has become an increasingly appropriate name for the emission of noxious gases!

How do you know we’re not preppers, and he was farting all over my emergency supplies?

OP each and everyone of your replies is making me laugh so much. Keep it coming

I love that some people don’t fart in front of their partners. Sometimes I voice note my farts to my husband so he doesn’t have to miss out.

SlipperyFish11 · 27/12/2024 20:57

I was with my ex for 9 years. Once finally got the courage to fart in front of him whilst on a walk in Center Parcs. He called me disgusting and I never did it again.

Here lies my fart trauma.

ObieJoyful · 27/12/2024 21:00

Nothing more satisfying than a fulsome fart.

Incenseda · 27/12/2024 21:14

OP, he sounds rough.
Are you really suited?
There is a difference between discretion and celebrating being uncouth.

Was it on the divorce petition? Divorce on the grounds of your unreasonable behaviour ‘farting at Centre Parcs’ 😃
