First time doing it this year. Added sweetcorn to mine as I like it! Rate my roast (Christmas dinner)

Roast is one of the most unphotoable foods, as any thread about roasts on this site will tell you. Post after post of indeterminate slop.

You can do it, but generally people don't arrange it when they plate it, especially if it's self serve or part self serve.

The veg doesn't look overcooked, the Yorkshires look good, but the sweetcorn would ruin it for me. However, I'm all for putting whatever you want with a roast. If you enjoyed it, then it was a winner. .

I confess I couldn’t cope with it all being piled up like that. I plate everything into distinct areas on the plate, and just go back for seconds if required.

I think it looks nice and I'm also a fan of sweetcorn with a roast - goes well with gravy IMO! Who cares if not all of it was made "from scratch" - not everyone has time/ability/inclination to do that (me included). As long as it tasted good and there was enough of it then that's a winner in my view

Come on people - share yours, don't let the OP take all the heat! Here's mine - chicken, ham, roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, carrots, broccoli, stuffing, bread sauce, gravy, cranberry sauce. It was bloody lovely and hope yours was too!

It looks very yummy OP! I'd give you 9 out of 10, deducting one point because I'd like lots of cauliflower cheese and mashed Swede with butter and plenty of pepper 😋

I have to say I would be horrified with sweetcorn on any dinner plate but I have bad memories of an ex who’s mouth tasted of sweetcorn so I am not unbiased in my loathing of the veg

It looks like a petty average roast- nothing groundbreaking. Sorry op😂

Gravy was roasted tomato and garlic in air fryer with salt and pepper, some onion chopped up and then blended together with chicken stock! Some turkey juice added too. Was very nice

Also made a honey and mustard glaze for the gammon as it didn’t come glazed!

Its just all piled on together, wouldn't fancy it at all

I know I’m a bit strange with the sweetcorn but someone I know had mayonnaise on theirs dinner 😧

Here's ours! Roast turkey, roast potatoes, mash, pigs in blankets, peas, carrots, broccoli and I had bread sauce and cranberry sauce on mine. There's additional maple roast carrots and chipolatas on the table too (two teenage boys ate this plus extras!)
