Have just finished a few hours of cleaning/ putting the bins out so only just had a shower.

Only DH , DD1 and DD2 at home. No family nearby. Boyfriends of DDs not here today.

Have already visited/ hosted likely popper-inner friends over the last few days.

WIBU to put my pyjamas on for the rest of the day?

Of course - why do you need permission?

Travis1 · 26/12/2024 14:44

I’ve not even got out of mine yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Objectionhearsayspeculation · 26/12/2024 14:45

Ywbu not to! I intend to do similar in about half an hour

Of course. Wear whatever you like.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 26/12/2024 14:46

My daughter didn't get out of hers yesterday until late afternoon - she even went for a walk in them. I'm still in mine today.

biscuitsandbooks · 26/12/2024 14:46

What's with all the threads from people asking for permission to do totally mundane things?

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 26/12/2024 14:47

I'm still in bed never mind getting changed 😀

(With 2 collies and a chocolate orange)😀

TheGrinchsBallsack · 26/12/2024 14:47

Do what the hell you like!

I am way too shattered to get dressed today. Tomorrow, maybe.

I don’t- just feels a bit lazy.

Asking for permission is not the same as asking whether or not something is unreasonable.

I've been in pyjamas (well pyjama bottoms and a Christmas hoodie) all day. I'll have to get dressed later to walk the dog but I'll probably just put my PJ's back on then I get back 😁

Rafting2022 · 26/12/2024 14:50

And if everyone says it would be unreasonable would you then remain dressed?

Rafting2022 · 26/12/2024 14:51

And what’s wrong with being lazy for once?

OhshitSharon · 26/12/2024 14:52

We've been at in-laws both days and it's all I'm waiting for now, going home and getting into my pj's. We only have tomorrow and Saturday where we're not busy/out this holiday so I'm really looking forward to getting comfy, watching some tv and eating quality street, none of which will involve getting dressed.

But who cares what strangers think about the clothes you choose to wear in your own house? Confused

If we all said "absolutely not, it's disgusting" would you then remain fully dressed for no reason?

Itsabeautifulthing · 26/12/2024 14:52

I get it OP, it feels weird to lounge in pjs all day as it isn't the norm (for some people) but there are no rules for Christmas 😊 I personally got dressed as I had to walk the dog and will have to again this afternoon, and I just like being dressed as I've got children who will likely want to go out at some stage.

TriangleLight · 26/12/2024 14:53

Absolutely not! Pyjamas are only for bed (if at all!) 😂😂

Does it matter if strangers think you are unreasonable, isn't that taking people pleasing a step too far?

Going for a walk in PJs is a sterling commitment to the cause!

Not even got dressed today or yesterday for that matter it was only Me and dp anyway 😂

I wasn’t dressed at the time- just had my bathrobe on following a shower. Cleaning clothes on before that.

I’ve driven over to my mums for lunch wearing mine with a long coat over - only 15 mins drive but I’m hoping car doesn’t breakdown on way home !
