I always used to get Kiera Knightley and Natalie Portman mixed up.

Owen Wilson. Every performance is just toe-curling.

His brother Luke is lovely though. Very lovely. I value him as a person.

MemorableTrenchcoat · 14/12/2024 18:44

Really? He’s great in serious performances like The Hunt for Red October and Glengarry Glen Ross, but also excels in comic roles like 30 Rock.

Alec Baldwin? The greatest actor ever? Team America had a whole theme on that. Great film, offends everyone

cavea · 14/12/2024 18:50

Jennifer Lopez

WhatDaHell · 14/12/2024 18:51

Not a huge actress but I always found Susan from Friends hard to watch.

Meganssweatycrotch · 14/12/2024 18:52

Daniel Radcliffe just ruined the first Harry Potter

godlikeAI · 14/12/2024 18:52

Nicholas Cage, Adam Sandler

The chap you plays DC Sandy in Shetland. He's so wooden and overacts in every scene. It's like watching a really bad amateur play!

Patienceinshortsupply · 14/12/2024 18:53

Nicole Kidman. I literally just can't watch her, she's so wooden.

Jennifer Lopez. Just how has she had a career....

Liam Neeson. Geriatric assassin extraordinaire.

JingleB · 14/12/2024 18:53

W0tnow · 14/12/2024 18:22

Alec Baldwin, hands down! The most deadpan actor ever!

Oh come on! He is comedy gold in 30 Rock.

Jason Statham just stands around like a lump. God only knows how the man has a career.

Vin Diesel is outstanding in the roles where he doesn’t actually appear and just does the voices - The Iron Giant is a brilliant film. Anything involving his whole self is seven kinds of dreadful, And god help us when he is Expressing Emotion.

I thought Rupert Grint was generally considered the least worst of the three of them?

He had a challenging job as the script writers did the Ron Weasley character dirty.

Emma Watson is light years worse. I could even see how bad she was when I was a young child. Allegedly she threw a tantrum aged 13 when the producers wanted her to have acting lessons because she was just so bad.

Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe is “tries very hard and just about pulls it off”.

agree with this, I think Rupert was/is actually pretty talented, but the producers reduced Ron down to playing the fool and being comedic relief - they took all of his good traits and gave them to Hermione - Rupert does very well with the material he is given, and there are moments he really shines.

Tom Felton was the other fairly strong child actor in the HP movies.

Daniel Radcliffe wasn't the best when he was younger but I have heard great things about him developing into a very capable stage actor who fully deserved the Tony Award he won recently.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 14/12/2024 18:54

Emma Watson was cast as a child actor and then kept getting work as an adult. Her talents do not lie in acting. She ruined Beauty and the Beast.

Jostuki · 14/12/2024 18:54

Jennifer Anniston.

George Clooney.

Emma Watson.

Daniel something who played Harry Potter.

Margot Robbie.

FeegleFrenzy · 14/12/2024 18:55

Saw the thread title and immediately thought Keira Knightly, good to see I’m not alone. The other actress from Bend it Like Beckham was much better, she was good in ER as well. But obviously it the same success as KK.

i watched Day of the Jackal earlier and it got me thinking how being successful for actors must be so much down to luck. The lead actress in that was very good, never seen or heard of her before 🤷‍♀️. And there’s much worse actors who are well known.

the child actors in Harry Potter. All still shit. Emma and Daniel anyway. Think Ron bought an ice cream van and left acting?

Wintersgirl · 14/12/2024 18:55

Suranne Jones and Michell Keegan, their voices stay the same no matter what part they're playing, they're just playing themselves rather than acting

Hour · 14/12/2024 18:55

Rami Malek utterly butchered Freddie Mercury is his portrayal. He also made him look like a creature from a different planet when in fact FM extremely handsome (in a unique way). Don’t know why he only moves his mouth when acting. Botox?

Jostuki · 14/12/2024 18:55

Johnny Depp.

Judi Dench. She is just Judi Dench in everything. Sorry. I like Tracey Ullman as Judi Dench. Tracey Ullman as Judi Dench is much better than Judi Dench as Judi Dench.

I am just giggling at your post. I love Judi Dench for the precise reason that my mother hates Judi Dench and moans about her at all and every opportunity. I don't care if Judi Dench plays Judi Dench in every film, play,TV series. That's good enough for me, but you are right Tracey Ullman, as Judi Dench was priceless. So worth watching.

Lifelover16 · 14/12/2024 18:59

Hugh Grant

VeganStar · 14/12/2024 18:59

Anna Maxwell Martin.
So bad.Funny gurnie faces in all she does.
Watched her in “Untill I kill you” a few weeks ago. Based on a true story. The woman she portrayed was supposed to have been Canadian but there was no trace of the Canadian accent at all. She just gurnied through the series just the same as her other parts.

brunettemic · 14/12/2024 18:59

Tobey Maguire is awful.
I disagree about Mark Wahlberg, he’s been good in a few things but recently he just plays the same character over and over. If he’s getting paid a load for it why not I guess.

MemorableTrenchcoat · 14/12/2024 18:59

Pedallleur · 14/12/2024 18:50

No, he’s not the greatest actor ever, but he’s a good actor, and I don’t think he belongs on a list of the least talented. Team America also mocked Matt Damon, Helen Hunt, Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen and Samuel L. Jackson, all fine actors.

Pudmyboy · 14/12/2024 19:00

Andi McDowell, stand-out stinker in Four Weddings....at the end when she says 'is it raining? I hadn't noticed ' my eyeballs want to turn themselves inward towards my skull,it's so painful to watch
