I agree, in recent years he has been much better and in heretic he’s fantastic. Utterly chilling.

IMO crap actors include Keira Knightly, Andie MacDowell, Emma Watson, Dermot Mulroony - all so wooden.

Jason Statham, the Rock etc have their place as action stars and do it well when they stay in those similar roles.

This exactly. One of the most overrated actors around. Her and Martin Freeman I really don't get the love for either of them.

Whilst he is an oddbod, Tom cruise has done some good acting early in his career, the vampire film, magnolia and tropic thunder!

As we're on Bend It Like Beckham, I was not keen on Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Although he was (at least how he looked in that film) the absolute double of an ex which may have clouded my judgement.

However must disagree on Liam Neeson if only for his appearance on Derry Girls. he was brilliant!! I do think he takes the piss out of himself sometimes and I love that.

There are, but they probably aren't getting every high profile role in their age category, which it seemed she was for quite some time.

His transition from foppish adorable british man to brilliant posh bad guy has been superb. How can you not love anyone in Paddington 2? He also def takes the piss out of himself.

I think that's a lot of why the Deplorable Harry Potter trio-other than their awful acting-show themselves up so much-they take themselves so seriously and are so self important it is ridiculous!

Hugh Grant is a much better actor than people give him credit for, he was definitely stuck in a genre. I hope for Jason Stathams sake that it's the same for him 😆

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
Pacino has always overacted in a really embarrassing way, though he was good in the Godfather trilogy.

DeNero used to be good...(great in 'Falling in Love' with Meryl Streep) sadly now has the same badly constipated look on his face all the time.

Anyone who makes no attempt whatsoever to use an accent other than their own. I'm thinking of one late oscar winner and a current actor who always use their own accent in whatever part they're playing.

This was a phase when lots of models tried their hands at being actresses. Now it's more likely to be the other way round!

MacDowell was by no means the worst but yeah, she is not a good actress. Margaret Qualley, her daughter, however, was great in 'Maid'. It's funny when the 'nepobaby' is more talented than the parent!

Agree. I loved Ludwig but she very nearly ruined it for me, I wish they’d cast someone (anyone?) else as her character.

I don’t mind Suranne Jones that much but she totally failed to convince me as the mother of a missing daughter and someone who’d had a fling with Lennie James’s character in Save Me & Save Me Too. The rest of the cast were brilliant.

I did enjoy ‘Unforgiven’ with SJ from 2009, she plays a woman released from a life sentence for murder. She was good in that.

Adam Sandler was good in Reign over me and Hustle wasn’t bad.
