Keanu Reeves is a terrible actor technically, but also I love him and find his films inexplicably watchable. So I'm not sure what to do with those feelings.

I feel exactly the same!

KnopkaPixie · 14/12/2024 17:32

Judi Dench. She is just Judi Dench in everything. Sorry. I like Tracey Ullman as Judi Dench. Tracey Ullman as Judi Dench is much better than Judi Dench as Judi Dench.

In PIP she's completely different imo

Funnily enough I literally watched the first 3 episodes of Broadchurch today and was very impressed by how different she is in that

Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson

Yup! They’re dreadful.

AmateurNoun · 14/12/2024 17:33

Emma Watson

WinterColdBrrrr · 14/12/2024 17:33

Have to disagree either way some others.

Olivia Coleman is fantastic and very versatile in roles that she plays.

Mark Whalberg has really improved over the years.

FionnulaTheCooler · 14/12/2024 17:33

Rebel Wilson.

NPET · 14/12/2024 17:34

Russell Brand
He was even banned from the BBC for a while, but he came back!

Unicorntearsofgin · 14/12/2024 17:34

Rosie Huntington-whiteley
Emma Watson
Daniel Radcliffe

BibbityBobbityToo · 14/12/2024 17:35

Mel Gibson - worst Scottish accent ever.

Michael Caine (can't watch anything with him in it, when I was a kid and had the 'stranger danger' talk at school I kept picturing him so I'm maybe biased about that one).

Pierce Brossnan (sp?) especially mincing about singing ABBA tunes.

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 14/12/2024 17:35

I saw Julia Stiles onstage - cannot for the life of me remember the production, but she was terrible. Maybe just an off night.

WinterColdBrrrr · 14/12/2024 17:35

Nic Cage i really struggle with. He comes across really wooden.

Flyylf · 14/12/2024 17:36

Eddie redmayne…no matter what character they’re all the same and he just pouts

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 14/12/2024 17:36

I would also say Nick Cage except that Moonstruck is one of my favourite films of all time. But then the character is supposed to be hyper-emotional and over the top.

Moglet4 · 14/12/2024 17:37

All of the main 3 kids in Harry Potter

chollysawcutt · 14/12/2024 17:37

You can't say Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson without mentioning the worst actor of them all - Rupert 'Bloody Hell' Grint.

Falseshamrok · 14/12/2024 17:38

AffIt · 14/12/2024 17:27

I am baffled by Gerard Butler's continued career success, but as a PP said about Keanu Reeves, he is very watchable.

I suppose sometimes charm and charisma make up for a dearth of actual acting chops.

Gerald butler is incredible in phantom of the opera

Wilfrida1 · 14/12/2024 17:38

Gina McKee. I get splinters just from watching her.

I think some child actors are just meant to stay child actors.

Oh, and these guys

Falseshamrok · 14/12/2024 17:38

Liam neeson plays the same wooden character in every film.

Parratha · 14/12/2024 17:38

Adeel Akhtar. I didn't know his name but just googled him as I saw him in Black Doves recently. Every time he comes on the screen I'm " oh no...not him"

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/may/20/bafta-winner-adeel-akhtar-interview

Oh, but I loved him in Utopia!

Nailed it. How did Joey's agent on Friends put it? They're not very believable as human beings

Doggymummar · 14/12/2024 17:39

Anyone in a soap
