Keanu Reeves and Keira Knightley

Keanu reeves is amazing

The only good thing about the upcoming HP series is that the child actors can't be any wose than the original trio.
Tom Felton as Draco and the kid who played Neville were so much better.

Also - Tom Cruise. He's Tom Cruise in everything.

LarryUnderwood · 14/12/2024 19:13

Gwyneth Paltrow. The same in everything she's been in. She's always just Gwyneth P, never becomes the character.

Combustivechicken · 14/12/2024 19:13

Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith Bynoe from Ghosts. Both wooden as wooden can be, though Kiell is better

I agree. The characters who play the ghosts are excellent, but those two really let them and the script down. They’re totally unbelievable as a couple too.

Someone has finally mentioned George Clooney. Without his looks he would never have got famous in ER and the only way he can make and star in films is because he is rich enough to have created his own production company. Think the coffee, tequila and omega ads are the incomes that have propelled him into the super rich category.

Nomdejeur · 14/12/2024 19:13

That actress who is in The new Jackal series, Lashana Lynch. Awful acting.

Emma Watson is by far the worst of the Harry Potter three, but none of them are good.

I can't stand David Tennant or Michael Sheen. I'm not sure if it's because they have such objectionable personal views or because they are bad though. I find them unwatchable regardless.

Michael Sheen and David Tennant are both annoying, I agree, but Sheen is by far the better actor for me.

I agree with a poster above who said that if it hadn't been for Doctor Who, Tennant would be working the tills in Lidl today. Or, more likely, managing the self service check outs. Really overrated actor.

David Tenant. I want to run from the room when he appears on screen.

Michael Sheen

Saoirse Ronan

minceyminceypies · 14/12/2024 19:16

Kiera Knightley

IcedPurple · 14/12/2024 19:18

I find Alicia Vikander a very bland actress.

Technically she's good, but she always leaves me cold.

She was promoted as the next 'It Girl' after her Oscar, but it never really turned out that way.

Purplebunnie · 14/12/2024 19:18

Jostuki · 14/12/2024 18:55

Johnny Depp.

You beat me to it. Even his adverts are bad

minceyminceypies · 14/12/2024 19:18

Lifelover16 · 14/12/2024 18:59

Hugh Grant

He's just got better and better. Did you ever see him as Jeremy Thorpe?

SugarPlumpFairyCakes · 14/12/2024 19:19

Michael Caine. He plays the same character over and over.

Nn9011 · 14/12/2024 19:19

Channing Tatum is actually very good when given the material. He's in a movie Backstop that came out years ago and he was brilliant in it.

He's such an odd choice for an aftershave advert. You just know he smells like stale cigarettes, piss and bad breath.

I think there are actors who are OK when they play a narrow range - like The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, Keira Knightly and so on.

And then there are actors who make a length of 2x4 look like it's Oscar-worthy - Emma Watson being up there. Daniel Radcliffe has improved as he's got older and Rupert Grint did a reasonable job with bad material. But everything she does plays like a sulky teen who's been dragged to drama classes because Mum says it looks good on the UCAS form. With the air of someone who feels like she's doing her audience an immense favour by deigning to appear.

SnowwDr0p · 14/12/2024 19:22

I'm starting to wonder if Lyndsey Lohan belongs on this list. I watched her new Netflix Xmas movie a few days and put her 2022 one km earlier this afternoon. Not sure if its the movie styling but she's just the same character living in a constant state of calamity.

Getonwitit · 14/12/2024 19:22

Danny Dyer

I agree about Liam Neeson, much as it pains me because I think he ought to be better. I never understand what kind of accent he is meant to be pulling off - Irish via USA? I dunno.

Agree with this all. I really like him. But he is not at all versatile!!

TiredyMcTired · 14/12/2024 19:24

another vote for Keira Knightly.

also:
Dwayne Johnson
Nicola Walker (is the same in everything)
Kris Marshall
Nicole Kidman (has all the range of a plastic spoon)
Jennifer Lopez
Adam Sandler

FizzingAda · 14/12/2024 19:25

John Wayne
the guy, whose name escapes me at the moment, who plays Charlie Fairhead in Casualty - oh, it's come, .derek Thompson. The only role he could play with aplomb is the Wall in Puramis and Thisbe. Or a door.
