to think this won't give my husband tits?

My H was about to go downstairs so I asked him to put my empty oestrogen gel bottle in the recycling.

He leapt back, and cried ' Aaargh! Aargh! I can't touch that! That is dangerous to me and the boys!' and ran down the stairs.
My sons says he has now told them they must never touch these bottles, not even if they get knocked onto the floor, as they are very dangerous for men and boys.

AIBU to think this is a compete over-reaction? There might be a small amount of trace oestrogen on the outside of the bottle, I guess, but such a teeny tiny amount as a one off is surely not going to make any man grow tits?

Do you use regular condoms? I have just been prescribed estriol cream, and it says it can affect condoms (which we normally use). Only got the cream for the first time today, and wondering about if I need to go on the pill which I would rather not if at all possible

ETA have also looked at non latex online today, and they say not to use with oil based lube. It’s my understanding the cream is oil based 🤔

You can get waterbased estriol cream. It might be worth going back to the GP and mentioning the condom issue.

You are told to avoid skin contact for an hour after youve put the gel on so he shouldn’t be handling that. I use the sachets and I dispose of them as they are sticky but a pump bottle won’t be. So he’s not completely wrong but very dramatic!

Yup. He's being overly-dramatic but he isn't wrong, and cautioning the children is sensible.

Yes. But I also have a mirena coil for my HRT. The condoms are a preference for comfort.

My initial reaction was of course you’re not being unreasonable. But, reading all your other reply’s, it’s clear you’d already made your mind up you weren’t, and only posted to laugh at your husband. Why asked a question and then argue when the reply is not what you thought in the first place? Waste of time anyone engaging with this !

I used internal estrogen cream for a while, DH still had sex with me. The tits he has are the result of too many pies.

I don't know about zero but yes, if a male accidentally touches estrogen gel, or skin to which it has been applied in the last hour, the advice is to wash immediately with soap and water.

Cautioning the kids against touching the bottle or it's contents is sensible and probably should have happened already, unless the bottle is kept securely away from them.
