Those toilet roll dispensers that only give you one piece at a time. End up using more because I scrunch them into a ball. Who ever uses just one piece?

Gift wrapping services. For one present maybe. But all of them? Waste of effort/money, know it goes to charity but you can donate anyway. Get some gift bags!

AIBU?

What do you hate?

Jotstuki, don't sit on the fence, tell us how you really feel lol

Drivers who don't indicate
Drivers who take corners and lean into a 45 degree angle doing so
Drivers who ignore the reasoning behind a boxed junction
Drivers who block roads
Drivers who don't thank you when you let them out
The driver who didn't thank me yesterday when I risked my place in a huge queue of traffic to pull alongside him to tell him his fuel cap was wide open.

Drivers, basically 😆

Oh! Cyclists who think the rules of the road don't apply to them and sail through red traffic lights.

Edited

Yes to all of yours!!!

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 12/12/2024 19:34

People who think its ok to vape right in your face or even worse your kids face!

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 12/12/2024 19:35

Management-speak!

Iloveyoubut · 12/12/2024 14:37

People who order from an Italian menu and use an Italian accent when they’re not Italian.

Example Gino di campio from Sheffield.😂

Tooty78 · 12/12/2024 19:47

@ Mokul, Retired people who shop on Saturday morning. Hear more working aged people getting frustrated with their antics of dwelling over which jam they want. People of working age just want to grab a jar of jam and go.

Before we retired me and DH worked full time, so we had to shop on early Saturday morning. The number of older people out shopping at a weekend nonplussed us both, why do that when they have all week when it's less busy?

We made a vow NEVER to go out on the weekend once we had retired, and we have stuck to it.

We’re the same. Never at weekends, never at lunch time and never at leaving work time.

Vaping.

People not using earphones when their phone or device produces sound and / or shouting into their phone in public.

SleepToad · 12/12/2024 20:09

People who don't grow up...ie still doing weed and coke in their 30s+

People who drive at 40mph everywhere

Technology

People who ring radio.shows with an opinion but clearly know nothing about the subject

Radio 3

The fact you very rarely hear my accent on tv (except for outlaws)

This. It’s revolting.

I agree. I think people look so daft when they're vaping. Puffing away on the vape like a baby sucking a dummy! 😆

If someone is 'vaping' to give up smoking then fine. But anyone who just takes up vaping is an idiot. As much of an idiot as anyone who decides to start smoking.

A little tip re: Chuggers.

I simply tell them that I already have a DD with them.

I say that "oh could you increase it"?

No

Sitting in miles and miles of roadworks

Or decide to cone off lanes days before any work has started.

Only cone off lanes when work is happening.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 12/12/2024 20:41

Printers. Why are they such unequivocal bastards?!

BIossomtoes · 12/12/2024 19:49

We’re the same. Never at weekends, never at lunch time and never at leaving work time.

My DM changed her shopping time when she retired.

I do hate it when the elderly say "ooh it's busy" on Saturday mornings. Well if you are foolish to shop at the busiest time of the week when you have at least 40 more hours to shop v full timer workers. What do you expect?

Mokel · 12/12/2024 20:46

My friends who work in retail are hating the extended opening hours for the run up to Christmas. This year, the long hours start on Wednesday (18th) for one of their places of work.

They don't understand why HQ do this when no one comes in the extra hours. Maybe Xmas Eve 5am opening, not 10:30pm on 19th Dec. HQ could easily look at the sales figures hour per hour per store. But no. They get bored as someone needs to man the kiosk, especially when they had a break in when store was closed late summer.

CeliaCanth · 12/12/2024 20:50

People selling things on Facebook etc. who post a video of themselves wiggling the (usually overpriced and not particularly effective) product at you and tapping their long acrylic nails on it. Just in case you can’t quite see it.

Also - the awful follow-up emails you get from retailer after having browsed a few things online. Worse if they are jauntily personalised - “Wow, Celia! You’ve got great taste!” and “We saw you peeking…”. Yes I was just looking. I don’t want you stalking me by email for the next week.

Echobelly · 12/12/2024 20:56

People who fetishize shitty working conditions and demands - 'Only losers take lunch breaks', 'I work 3000 hours per week and if you don't you're pathetic', 'People who don't go into the office every day are shirking'

Politicians whose policies consist of making vulnerable people's lives worse because it's easy and seems cheap (actually it costs society more than being decent), and voters who fall for that and don't notice this does not make their life one bit better either

People who use 'woke' as a perjorative

Makingchocolatecake · 12/12/2024 21:51

Potatoewithawonkyeye · 12/12/2024 08:54

People who take up seats on a packed bus with thier bags (and I don't mean if you have a lot of shopping and not much room) I mean people taking up a seat JUST because they dont want to have to sit next to someone. I have to stop my self screaming 'Are all your bags about to have a long hard day and need the rest?!?!? It boils my piss!!!

Oh and when a train is packed and everyone crams in the doorways instead of moving all the way down the carriage even if people are standing on the platform.

People who spit

People who dither, especially outside escalators or lifts.

People who don’t pick up their dogs shit.

People who drop litter

people who have phones on loud bastard speaker to have conversations in public places

People have music/ rapping/ religious music on loud speaker in public places.

Feet/ bags on seats on trains. Dirty dirty selfish cunts.

People in McDonald’s who leave the eir shit all over the table and floor when the bin is 5 strides away. Cunts.

People who never ever ever ask anything about anyone else but talk at length about themselves, all conversations circle back to themselves

Shit and confusing signage.

Pop up shit adverts. In fact any adverts especially when there are lots one after another after another between programs. I record and completely bypass which I suspect most do.

Selfie takers. FB etc pages that are littered with numerous pictures of the person themselves. The assumption that everyone wants to look at them then comment.. FFS.

McDonalds yes

People who don't drive at the speed limit.
Dc inside the actual trolley.
Ddogs on extendable leads..
Mem with their arses on show..

Why dc inside the trolley? My toddler is too heavy for the built in seats but it's better than her running off/into people

When people leave weetabix in a bowl and you only notice it the following day!

Cleaning our horrible bathroom!

when you need an app to pay for parking!

I also hate parking apps

Feelingathomenow · 12/12/2024 22:00

People who moan about dogs
People who think torturing animals is ok for their egg and bacon sandwich.
People who can’t or won’t think critically
people who move to a country and don’t try and integrate fully.
Misogyny esp when women support it under the guise of “being kind”
Hypocrits
Empty, pointless mass produced auto tuned pop music.
